Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 4.0

The response attempts to address the prompt by discussing globalisation and whether it is a good thing, mentioning communication, air travel, and trade. However, the essay is severely under-length, containing only 171 words compared to the minimum requirement of 250 words. Furthermore, the ideas are extremely limited, repetitive, and lack meaningful development or specific examples. Phrases like 'A person is go to the other nation and met with people' demonstrate a lack of substantive elaboration. Because the word count requirement is not met and the content is underdeveloped, the task is only partially addressed, which aligns with Band 4.0.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 4.0

The essay is divided into paragraphs, including an introduction and body paragraphs, which shows some basic structural awareness. However, the progression of ideas is hindered by abrupt stops and severe incompleteness, notably ending mid-sentence at 'Additionally,'. Cohesive devices are used in a very mechanical and repetitive manner, such as 'To begin with', 'Moreover', and 'In addition'. Referencing is frequently unclear, and the overall organization fails to create a logical or cohesive flow throughout the text. These features place the response firmly at Band 4.0 for coherence and cohesion.

Lexical Resource — Band 4.0

The vocabulary used is basic and repetitive, relying heavily on words directly lifted from the prompt such as 'globalisation', 'internet', 'air travel', and 'nations'. There are numerous spelling and word-choice errors, including 'presen' instead of 'present', 'importent' instead of 'important', 'indviduals' instead of 'individuals', and 'incresed' instead of 'increased'. The student attempts some less common terms like 'international relation', but these are executed with inaccuracies that often strain the reader's understanding. The lexical range is limited and minimally adequate for basic communication, corresponding to a Band 4.0.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 4.0

The writing displays a very limited range of grammatical structures. Simple sentences dominate, and attempts at complex structures are consistently faulty, such as 'due to the internet people are easily to communicate with each other, because the people are communicate'. There are frequent grammatical errors involving subject-verb agreement, tense usage, and prepositional phrases (e.g., 'the countries are relation is good'). These errors are frequent and often distort meaning, making it difficult for the reader to follow the intended message. This performance reflects the descriptors for Band 4.0.
