Student answer (Band 6.0)
In modern era, there has been an increase in globalistion due mutlilple factors such as, nations adapting to similiar cultures, air travel and trade. Many people believe interaction between nations through globalisation will have a postive impact on our world. In this essay i will be sharing my views on why globalistation is an important factor increase positivity amongst everyone.
Through social media it has become very easy to view another nation from a different prespective. Internet has allowed people to interact with everyone no matter if they are living on the other side of the world. and we view their culture and may even find it interesting enough to try and adapt it aswell. for example the way people dress. many people living in asia prefer to wear western clothing instead of their own tradtional clothes. Moreover, air traveling have made it quite easy to travel accross planet in just a day or two to a place and a culture which they might not be familiar with.
Furhtermore, due to popular culture people from different nations are able to connect and create a community which makes them feel very similiar from eachother that these are my poeple for example, music has allowed everyone to connect. Many poeple travel from one country to another just because they want to attend the concert of their favourite artist. Another example from recent time is fifa worldcup which was hosted in america. Manyt people from different cultural backgrounds and different ethinicites came together under one roof to watch and support their favourite team.
In my opinion globalisation has shown positive impact around the world, As people have been more open minded towards eachother and are adapting cultures and traditions from nations accross the globe.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0
The response addresses all parts of the task by discussing the view that globalisation has a positive impact and clearly stating the writer's own opinion that it is beneficial. The main ideas are supported with relevant examples, such as western clothing in Asia and international events like the FIFA World Cup. However, the development of ideas tends to be a bit descriptive rather than deeply analytical, and the examples are sometimes generalised. For instance, the mention of the FIFA World Cup being hosted in America is slightly inaccurate as it is jointly hosted across North America, though it still supports the broader point about cultural gathering. Overall, the content fulfills the prompt adequately, aligning with a Band 6.0 performance.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0
The essay has a coherent overall arrangement with clear paragraphing, separating the introduction, body paragraphs on social media/travel, popular culture, and the conclusion. However, cohesion is sometimes faulty or mechanical. There are several run-on sentences and punctuation issues, such as starting a sentence with 'and' ('...other side of the world. and we view their culture...'), and missing capitals at the beginning of sentences. Referencing is occasionally unclear, and transitional phrases like 'Furhtermore' (with a spelling error) are used, but overall progression is maintained. The logical flow is sufficient to place this in the Band 6.0 category.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.5
The student uses an adequate range of vocabulary for the task, attempting some less common items such as 'perspective', 'traditonal', and 'open minded'. However, there are numerous spelling and word-choice errors throughout the text, including 'globalistion', 'mutlilple', 'similiar', 'accross', and 'ethinicites'. Despite these inaccuracies, communication is not impeded, as the meaning remains clear. The range is sufficient for the task requirements, but the density of spelling slips keeps the score at a Band 5.5.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5
The response demonstrates a mix of simple and complex sentence forms, attempting structures such as relative clauses and participial phrases. However, there are frequent grammatical and punctuation errors, including missing articles ('in modern era', 'in America'), subject-verb agreement issues ('air traveling have made'), and fragment sentences. Punctuation is particularly weak, with several run-on sentences and uncapitalised words. While these errors do not completely impede communication, they occur frequently and lower the overall accuracy of the writing, fitting the Band 5.5 descriptors well.
