Student answer (Band 5.0)

Within few years, because of the State of art technologies like internet airplanes, import and export between several nations and well known traditions, globalisation has instantly peaked. Numerous individuals think that the interaction between countries and kingdoms through globalisation is a beneficial thing. In this essay, i will delineate the underline forces and then i will place my perspective about globalisation.

initially, several factors are already stated about why globalisation is increasing. Trade is beneficial for both exporting and importing countries.

With trades economies of countries are now stable and in good condition .Which is one of the major reason of globalisation. Another significant reason is air travel. Tourist when travel to different countries and when they post their pictures and videos on social media. It encourages other viewers to visit that particular country. Consequently this is advantageous for government of that country. Without spending any funds on promoting and advertising someone else is doing this very precisely and they can use their funds else where. When individuals travel to these countries and when they go back to their hometown they tell others about how well behave and kind people were in that country. This creates a strong bond of love in individuals heart. This is how these things are facilitating countries to be connected.

As far as i am concerned globalisation plays a significant role in future of a country. Countries with strong relations with other countries are more developed. Government is also influencing more on several activities to be connected with other countries.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5

The response addresses all parts of the task by discussing the views on globalisation and providing a personal opinion, as seen in statements like 'Numerous individuals think that the interaction between countries... is a beneficial thing' and 'i will place my perspective about globalisation.' However, the ideas lack deep extension and are somewhat simplistic. For instance, the discussion on air travel and social media mentions that visitors post pictures and tourists tell others about kind locals, which remains quite surface-level rather than fully exploring broader economic or cultural impacts. The conclusion is also brief and underdeveloped. While a clear position is present throughout the essay, the arguments would benefit from greater elaboration and more robust supporting examples. Consequently, this performance aligns well with Band 6.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0

The essay displays a coherent overall arrangement and a clear intent to organise ideas logically, moving from an introduction to body paragraphs and a conclusion. However, paragraphing and cohesion exhibit noticeable flaws and mechanical use. The second body paragraph starts abruptly ('initially, several factors are already stated...'), and the paragraphing breaks are awkward, with several very short paragraphs that disrupt the natural progression of ideas. Furthermore, cohesive devices are sometimes misused or absent, as seen in the fragmented sentence structures and abrupt transitions like '.Which is one of the major reason of globalisation.' Referencing and linking between sentences occasionally lack fluidity, resulting in a somewhat disjointed reading experience. These features place the response securely at Band 5.0.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

The student demonstrates an adequate vocabulary for the task, successfully attempting less common lexical items such as 'delineate', 'advantageous', and 'globalisation'. However, there are frequent inappropriate word choices and collocations that detract from precision, such as 'State of art technologies' instead of 'state-of-the-art', 'instantly peaked', and 'Government is also influencing more on several activities'. Additionally, there are mechanical errors in capitalization, such as 'i will delineate', and occasional spelling or phrasing slips. While communication is not impeded and the range is minimally adequate to convey the core ideas, the density of lexical inaccuracies prevents the response from reaching Band 6.0.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

The writer attempts a mix of simple and complex sentence forms, utilizing relative clauses and conditional structures such as 'When individuals travel to these countries and when they go back... they tell others...'. However, grammatical accuracy is weak, featuring frequent errors such as subject-verb agreement issues ('Tourist when travel', 'peoples were'), missing articles, and awkward punctuation or fragment sentences (e.g., '.Which is one of the major reason of globalisation.'). Complex structures are often faulty or prone to structural errors, causing some difficulty for the reader and making frequent mistakes prominent throughout the text. These characteristics correspond closely to the Band 5 descriptor.
