Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0
The response addresses all parts of the task by discussing the view that globalisation is beneficial and providing a clear personal opinion. However, some ideas are under-developed or lack sufficient extension. For instance, the discussion on economic and strategic benefits in the second paragraph remains quite general, stating that it is 'good for both countries economically and streatigically' without providing concrete examples or further explanation. Similarly, the conclusion introduces new ideas such as lowering taxes, which shifts away from a direct summary of the main arguments. While the position is visible throughout, the lack of fully developed supporting details keeps the response at this level.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5
The essay presents a coherent overall arrangement and attempts to organise ideas into logical paragraphs, starting with an introduction, moving to the discussion of the view, and finishing with a personal opinion. However, the progression between ideas is sometimes hindered by mechanical or faulty referencing. For example, transitional phrases such as 'Let discuss about' and 'So, if we looks to' feel abrupt and unnatural. Paragraphing is present, but internal cohesion is inconsistent, and referencing pronouns do not always clearly link back to their intended antecedents, which disrupts the smooth flow of the argument.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
The writer demonstrates an adequate range of vocabulary for the task, successfully attempting less common items such as 'globalisation', 'culture explosure', and 'economically'. However, there are noticeable spelling and word choice errors throughout the text, such as 'numerious', 'eassier', 'taket', 'arround', 'streatigically', 'hater', 'benfits', and 'policied'. Word form errors also occur, such as using 'courage' instead of 'encourage'. While communication is generally maintained despite these inaccuracies, the frequent errors in spelling and lexical collocation prevent the vocabulary from reaching a higher level.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
The response features a mix of simple and complex sentence forms, attempting structures like conditional clauses ('if we can look arround us we will interact...'). However, there are frequent errors in grammar and punctuation, particularly regarding verb forms, subject-verb agreement, and missing articles. Examples include 'As the time passed new innovation comes', 'Internet is the one of that innovation discovery', 'On social media we seen', and 'minimun taxes on trade goods so that every trader has good profit and they courage'. While these errors rarely completely impede communication, they are persistent enough to restrict the writing to a foundational level of grammatical control.
