Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5

You give a clear overall view that globalisation is beneficial, and you discuss two relevant reasons: cultural exchange and stronger trade relationships. The example contrasting someone who stays in one city with someone who travels or communicates online helps explain how interaction can broaden understanding. However, the discussion remains only partly developed: the claims that trade will stop wars and create employment are asserted rather than supported with a specific explanation or example. The task asks you to discuss the view as well as give your opinion; your response mainly supports the positive view and does not consider why some people might disagree. Develop each reason with a concrete example and briefly acknowledge a possible drawback to address the task more fully.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0

Your response has a basic overall structure: an opening position, separate paragraphs about cultural exchange and trade, and a concluding statement. This helps the reader identify your main points. However, progression within paragraphs is sometimes difficult to follow, particularly in the long example beginning “let us consider a person,” where several ideas are joined together without clear sentence boundaries. Connections between points are also repetitive, with “this is one kind of good thing” and “this other kind good thing” doing much of the linking. Use shorter, clearly organised sentences and more precise links such as “For example,” “As a result,” and “In addition.” A conclusion that restates your two reasons and opinion would also create a clearer sense of completion.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You use vocabulary relevant to the topic, including “globalisation,” “popular culture,” “trading,” “employment,” and “self development.” These terms allow you to communicate the main ideas, but the range is limited and several expressions are repeated or imprecise. Phrases such as “get strong” for relationships, “get know there culture,” and “the world will stop wars” are not natural or clear in this context. Spelling errors, including “incresed,” “throught,” and “countrys,” are noticeable and sometimes make reading less smooth. Build a wider set of accurate collocations for cultural exchange and international trade, and check spelling and word forms carefully.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt both simple statements and longer sentences with reasons and examples, but control is inconsistent. Many sentences contain errors that can make the reader pause, as in “people are started interacting” and “he don’t know what world is doing.” There are recurring problems with verb forms, subject–verb agreement, articles, and plural forms. The long sentence beginning “for example let us consider” also joins several clauses without appropriate punctuation, making its structure hard to follow. Practise forming accurate present-tense sentences first, then connect them with conjunctions while keeping each sentence manageable. For example, use “people have started interacting” and “he does not know what the rest of the world is doing.”
