Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 4.5
You state a positive view in the opening, saying globalisation is “highly effective,” and mention relevant areas such as technology, trade, air travel and popular culture. However, the discussion remains largely a list of topics rather than an explanation of why increased interaction between nations is beneficial. For example, you say trade is used worldwide and that communication is becoming easier, but provide little detail or a specific example to show the effects. The conclusion repeats several points without clearly bringing your reasoning together, and the final claim, “It has a positive impact,” is not explained. Develop two or three central benefits with reasons and examples, and make your position explicit throughout.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 4.0
The response has an introduction, two body paragraphs and a concluding paragraph, and signposts such as “To begin with,” “Secondly” and “To summarise” show an attempt to organise the discussion. However, ideas are not arranged in a clear, coherent progression: the first body paragraph moves quickly among internet access, air travel, trade and pop culture, while the second introduces economic growth and communication without clearly linking them to the earlier points. Some connections are difficult to follow, particularly “Ever since we are connected to technology, exchange of trade and import export.” Use each paragraph to develop one main idea, explain how it supports your view, and connect sentences with clear references rather than relying mainly on transition phrases.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use vocabulary relevant to the topic, including “globalisation,” “digital platforms,” “economy,” “import export” and “source of entertainment.” There are also attempts to use less common expressions, but several choices or combinations are inaccurate or unclear, such as “famous culture,” “extended meetings between world,” “hottest topic” and “to an extent level.” These errors sometimes make the intended meaning difficult to identify. Spelling problems such as “conveinient,” “traveliing” and “thourgh” further reduce clarity. Aim for precise, natural collocations and check spelling; for instance, describe “international interaction,” “air travel saves time,” or “popular culture has spread internationally” rather than translating phrases literally.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and more complex sentence forms, including “On the other hand” contrasts and the “not only … but also” construction. However, control is inconsistent, and errors in agreement, verb forms, articles and sentence construction occur frequently enough to make some sentences hard to understand. Examples include “internet facilities is,” “pop culture are,” and “globalisation has leading.” The sentence beginning “Ever since we are connected to technology” is incomplete, while “the communication part is extending through digital platforms to communication makes easier” has an unclear structure. Practise building complete sentences with a clear subject and verb, and check agreement and verb forms before adding extra clauses. More accurate basic sentences would improve readability.
