Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0
You give a clear overall view that globalisation is positive, especially in the conclusion, and you mention relevant areas such as communication, employment, technology, medicine and cultural exchange. However, the task is only partially addressed because the discussion remains broad and the reasons are not sufficiently explained or supported with specific examples. For instance, you say globalisation creates “opportunity in field of jobs” and contributes to “economic growth,” but do not show how interaction between nations produces these benefits. The point about young people developing a “sense of humour” is also unclear and not connected convincingly to the question. State your position clearly in the introduction, then develop two or three relevant arguments with concrete examples.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 4.5
There is some organisation: the response moves from communication and culture to economic opportunities, then ends with a conclusion that restates your positive view. However, the progression between ideas is not consistently clear, and several points are repeated rather than developed. For example, the ideas that globalisation brings people closer and removes barriers appear in multiple paragraphs without adding a distinct explanation. Linking words such as “furthermore,” “so,” and “as” are used, but sometimes the relationship between clauses is unclear. Paragraphing is also limited, with several separate ideas crowded together. Give each paragraph one main point, use topic sentences, and connect examples directly to the claim they support.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You attempt vocabulary relevant to the topic, including “globalisation,” “freedom of speech,” “economic growth,” and “sense of equality.” This gives you some useful range, but the overall vocabulary is limited and repeated, particularly “individual,” “barrier,” and “opportunity.” Frequent spelling errors and inaccurate word choices can make meaning difficult to follow, as in “invididual,” “numerious,” “conour,” and “technologyand.” Some combinations are also unnatural, such as “globalisation gain popularity” and “technology has boast up.” Build accuracy by checking spelling and learning common collocations for this topic. More precise wording would help you explain benefits and cultural interaction clearly rather than relying on broad claims.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 4.5
You attempt to connect ideas in longer sentences, for example with “furthermore” and “as,” but the range of sentence structures is limited and these attempts are often faulty. Errors in verb forms and agreement occur throughout: “globalisation gain popularity,” “all the barrier are demolished,” and “it also helps the young one to develope” do not show reliable control. Articles, plurals and sentence boundaries are also inconsistent, as in “internet has made the world global village” and the run-on sequence beginning “as it creates sense of communication.” These errors sometimes make relationships between ideas hard to understand. Practise accurate simple sentences first, then combine them using subordinate clauses, checking subject–verb agreement, articles and punctuation.
