Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5

You present a clear overall view that globalisation is beneficial, and you give relevant reasons, including reduced conflict, increased trade and cooperation between countries. The examples involving US–Iran and Pakistan, and Pakistan–China, help connect your argument to real-world situations. However, the discussion is only partial: the essay mainly repeats the benefits of peace and better relations, while the trade point is briefly stated and not clearly explained. The task asks you to discuss the view as well as give your opinion, so acknowledging a possible drawback or explaining why some people disagree would make the response more complete. Develop each main reason with a clearer explanation and a specific, well-supported example.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0

The response has an introduction, two body paragraphs and a conclusion, so the reader can identify its basic structure. The ideas are generally related to the topic, and phrases such as “for example” signal an illustration. However, progression is limited: both body paragraphs return to peace and good relations, and the trade idea is inserted without a clear link to the surrounding point. Some connections are unclear, particularly “if something negative happens between nation other nation used thes facilities,” which makes the intended sequence difficult to follow. Use topic sentences to give each paragraph a distinct focus, then explain and illustrate that focus. More precise referencing and a wider, more accurate range of linking expressions would also reduce repetition.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You use relevant topic vocabulary, including “globalisation,” “air travel,” “trade,” “prosperity” and “neighbouring countries,” which helps keep the response focused. However, the range is limited and several phrases are repeated, especially “good relation” and “globalisation.” There are also noticeable word-choice, collocation and spelling problems, such as “to a greater extend,” “treade,” “more betterly,” “inclution” and “peacefull.” These errors sometimes make the intended meaning less clear. Aim to learn accurate word partnerships and check spelling carefully. Replacing repeated general phrases with more precise expressions—for example, describing how trade “strengthens economic ties”—would make the argument clearer and more flexible.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt both simple and longer sentences, including a conditional structure in “if something negative happens between nation…,” and you use a basic range of tenses. However, complex sentences are often faulty, and frequent errors in agreement, articles, verb forms and sentence boundaries can make the reader work to understand the meaning. For example, “The relations … has increased” has a subject–verb agreement problem, while “other nation used thes facilities and normalise” shifts between verb forms. Several sentences also run together without appropriate punctuation. Practise building accurate sentences with one main idea and a clear clause structure, then check agreement and consistent verb forms. More reliable control of these basics would make your longer sentences easier to follow.
