Student answer (Band 6.0)

The interactions between different countries have risen in recent times due globalisation. A number of person belive this is a good thing because it fosters specialisation and unity. Other are of the opinion that it may cause some nations to be exploited . I strongly believe it is beneficial for countries to come to gether as it improve both nations economically.

Those who argue agains such closeness amongst nations believe that it created room from one nation to take advantage of the other . The think that when a more develop coutries decide to form an allliance with a less developed state it is usually for selfish reasons such as taking their national resources under the pretence of grants or treaty. for example when officials of nations visit so places for friend ly visit but their true motive is to gather intelligence so as to exploit the weaker nation. I however disagree with this because some of this intel help the countries understand the resource present in the receiving nation and these visiting countries might be able to assist them to harness it and it would not have been possible without the relationship they nurture.

When nation are in accord they can benefit more from speacialisationbecause they know coperation will ensure a market for their products, Futhermore, the products they need will be provided by other countries seemless because they have an good relationship. This enable this people to only engage in activiities and productions that yield the best results. Futher more when countries communicated they will be no war and the portion allocated to fighting can be channelled to other areas. For example if Ukraine and Russia had good communication the combat between the two nation would not have happened . Thereforre . A cordial interraction between nation is benefial .

In conclusion, several factor have promoted an increase interanational relation, people believe this is adetriment because it can lead to exploitation while other think it can be benefial as it lead to increased output through specialization. I believe it a good thing because it mitigate walls amonst the various countries.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.5

You address both sides of the discussion and state a clear view: globalisation can support cooperation and economic benefits. The paragraph about possible exploitation is relevant, and you explain how relationships might also help countries use resources. Your examples of specialisation and the Russia–Ukraine conflict further support your position. This meets the task well, but the development is uneven: the claim that communication would have prevented the conflict is asserted rather than explained, and the economic benefits could be illustrated more specifically. The conclusion repeats the main points but introduces “walls,” which does not clearly express your intended idea. To strengthen the response further, explain the mechanisms behind each benefit and acknowledge any limits to your argument.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0

The response has a recognisable structure, with an introduction, separate discussion paragraphs and a conclusion. The progression from concerns about exploitation to the benefits of cooperation is generally understandable, and signposts such as “For example” and “In conclusion” help guide the reader. However, some links are mechanical or unclear. In the second body paragraph, the shift from exploitation to the possible benefits of intelligence gathering needs a clearer transition. References such as “this people” and “it” are not always easy to follow, while repeated forms of “furthermore” make the linking feel repetitive. Improve cohesion by making each paragraph’s central point explicit and using pronouns only when their reference is unmistakable.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.5

You attempt a range of topic-relevant vocabulary, including “specialisation,” “alliance,” “national resources,” “harness,” and “cordial interaction.” These choices show an effort to discuss international relations beyond basic terms. However, spelling and word-choice errors are frequent enough to make some phrases difficult to interpret, as in “speacialisationbecause,” “seemless,” and “mitigate walls.” There are also awkward collocations, such as “form an alliance with a less developed state” in this context and “a good relationship” where a more precise term would help. Proofread spelling carefully and learn common word partnerships; choosing accurate, natural expressions is more valuable than using ambitious vocabulary that does not fit the meaning.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You use both simple statements and attempts at longer, complex sentences, for example the sentence beginning “I however disagree with this because…” This gives the response some structural variety. However, errors in agreement, verb forms, articles and sentence construction are frequent and sometimes make the meaning harder to follow. Examples include “it improve,” “When nation are,” “This enable,” and “they will be no war.” Some sentences also run together or have unclear punctuation, particularly in the paragraph about exploitation. Practise checking each sentence for a clear subject and verb, correct singular or plural agreement, and complete punctuation. Building accurate shorter sentences first will help you control more complex structures.
