Student answer (Band 4.5)
While some people believe that in the early years, globalization has rapidly increased through the internet, air travel, trade, and popular culture. others argue that increased interaction between nations through globalization is a better thing. This essay will discuss both perspectives, and in my opinion, globalization has increased due to factors such as trade and travel; culture is also involved.
On the one hand, supporters of the first view argue that there is a massive impact of travel, culture, trade, and the internet on globalization, and that is a good idea because many people in the form of tourists come from other cities and countries and then do not think about going because of good facilities and other good things that hold the person back to the place. While the internet and culture help rapidly grow in globalization by internet people wtach new things which further he want to achive them for that he want to start trade and the result many people were able to comes to the placve for trading and culture enjoyement which have a relible impact on globalization

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 3.5
The response makes a limited attempt to discuss globalisation and gives a broad opinion that it is connected with trade, travel and culture. However, the position is not clearly stated: the opening says globalisation is “a better thing” but then says it has increased because of several factors, without explaining whether you consider the increased interaction beneficial. The body paragraph mainly lists possible effects and does not develop a clear reason or relevant example; the discussion of tourists and trade is difficult to follow. There is also no conclusion and only one side is meaningfully addressed. The response is 173 words, below the required 250 words, and 9 words copied from the task prompt were not counted. To improve, state your view directly, discuss both perspectives, and support each main point with a specific example and explanation.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 4.0
There is a basic attempt to organise the response: an opening paragraph introduces the topic, and “On the one hand” signals the start of a body paragraph. The phrase “This essay will discuss both perspectives” also indicates an intended structure. However, the promised discussion of both views is not carried through, and there is no concluding paragraph. Within the body, several ideas are joined into one long sequence, so the relationship between tourism, internet use, trade and cultural enjoyment is unclear. Connectors such as “because,” “then” and “and” do not consistently show how the points relate. Use separate paragraphs for each perspective, arrange each paragraph around one main idea, and use clear referencing and linking phrases to show cause, contrast and result.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
The response uses some topic-related vocabulary, including “globalization,” “interaction between nations,” “air travel,” “trade” and “popular culture,” so the subject is recognisable. There are also attempts to express cause and impact, such as “rapidly grow” and “reliable impact.” However, the range is limited and several choices or combinations are inaccurate or unclear, including “a better thing,” “good facilities and other good things,” and “culture enjoyment.” Spelling errors such as “wtach,” “achive,” “placve” and “relible” also reduce accuracy. Aim for more precise terms and natural collocations, and check spelling carefully. For example, describe how tourism “supports local economies” or how cultural exchange “broadens people’s perspectives,” rather than relying on repeated general words such as “good” and “things.”
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and more extended sentence forms, including a sentence beginning “While some people believe…” and a cause-and-effect sequence in the body. However, the opening is a sentence fragment: “While some people believe…” is not completed with a contrasting main clause. Longer sentences often contain several clauses without clear grammatical control, as in “by internet people wtach new things which further he want to achive them.” There are also problems with agreement and verb forms, for example “many people were able to comes” and “which have a relible impact.” Punctuation and capitalisation are inconsistent, including the lowercase “others” after a full stop. Practise completing subordinate clauses, keeping subjects and verbs in agreement, and dividing complex ideas into shorter, correctly punctuated sentences.
