Student answer (Band 6.0)

Air transportation, trade and interaction among various cultures, and globalisation has surged owing to the rapid advancement in technology over the past few years. An increasing number of people argue that growing relationships among countries due to globalization is of signficant importance. I believe the same because golobalization contributes grealty to the economic growth and international cooperation in various sectors such as health, education and cultural exchange.

To begin with, globalization tend to promote the import and export between countries, by enabling a region to transport its goods through various roots through more convenient and fast modes of transportation. It results in growing economic relationships between countries and strenthening of global market, which ultimately boosts the economy and prosperity of a country. For example, internaational copanies often establish their offices anf factories in developing countries, allowing local people to earn a living and develop new professional skills. Individuals can travel to a long distance for business, tourism or personal purposes, theses are among the other lucrative activities for a region, leading to more connected human civilization. Hence, increased global interactions have significant impacts on the world's economy.

Another important advntage is that globalization improves access to education and cultural exchange. With the help of the internet, students can attend online classes, access educational resources and learn from teachers around the world. Furthermore, interntional travel and social media enable people to understan different cultures, traditions and ways of life. Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0

Your position is clear: you agree that globalisation is beneficial, and you give relevant reasons involving economic growth, employment, education and cultural understanding. The trade and investment paragraph includes a useful example of international companies creating jobs and skills in developing countries. However, the discussion is not fully balanced or developed: the prompt asks you to discuss the view, but you mainly present advantages and do not consider any reservations or opposing perspective. The education and cultural-exchange point is also left without a specific example or fuller explanation of its effects. Develop each main idea with a clear explanation and evidence, and briefly acknowledge a possible drawback before reaffirming your opinion.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.5

The response has a recognisable overall structure: an introduction states your view, followed by separate paragraphs on economic benefits and education and cultural exchange. Linking phrases such as “To begin with,” “For example,” “Furthermore” and “Hence” help readers follow the argument, and the progression within the first body paragraph is generally logical. This meets the lower-band expectations and shows some stronger control through clear paragraphing and sequencing. However, the final paragraph ends abruptly, without a concluding sentence or a summary of your position. Some links are also mechanical, and the relationship between travel, tourism and the economic argument could be made more explicit. Use a conclusion and clearer transitions between examples and the point they support.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.5

You use a relevant range of topic vocabulary, including “economic growth,” “international cooperation,” “cultural exchange,” “professional skills” and “open-minded.” These choices allow you to discuss several aspects of globalisation, and some less common expressions are attempted. However, spelling and word-choice errors are noticeable and sometimes distract the reader: examples include “signficant,” “golobalization,” “grealty,” “strenthening” and “perpective.” There are also awkward or inaccurate combinations such as “transport its goods through various roots” and “travel to a long distance.” Proofread carefully and learn common collocations as complete phrases. More precise wording would make your ideas sound clearer and more natural without requiring a more complicated vocabulary.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 6.0

You attempt both simple and complex sentence forms, including a reason clause in “I believe the same because…” and a sentence beginning “With the help of the internet…”. Most ideas remain understandable, and the errors do not generally prevent communication. Some grammatical problems nevertheless recur. For example, “globalisation tend to promote” has a subject–verb agreement error, while “the become more open-minded” appears to be missing the correct pronoun. The opening sentence also has an unclear structure, with “and globalisation has surged” not fitting smoothly with the preceding list. Work on agreement, pronoun accuracy and sentence construction, and check that each sentence has a clear subject and verb. This will improve control while preserving your attempts at complex structures.
