Student answer (Band 5.5)
In recent times, interaction between nations has increased significantly. The modes of communications are through internet, air travel, trade and popular culture. Many individuals believe that this change have a positive impact overall. In my opinion interaction through different modes have many benefits, which I will be discussing further.
The increased interaction has several benefits, such as trade can be very easy and governments can also communicate over the internet. The main advantage of globalisation is that government can directly communicate to each other without physically going to the country and discussing the matters, which lot of time and cost. For example, a government representative wants to talk to other country government officials they do it over the internet without have a long flight and traveling the country and back. In addition, trade can be easily made through internet. Nowadays governments can place their order over the internet and receive the confirmation of good over the same medium. For instance, today economies survive due to its trade around the world, trading of goods over internet save a costs which eventually benefits the trader.
Furthermore, cultural value can also be shared through the internet. Nowadays internet is becoming popular for this purpose. Cultural practices, foods and ideas are not shared on internet, people from different culture were able to see share experience the culture worldwide.
In conclusion, there any many benefits of increased interaction between nations, such as direct communications between governments without meeting face-to-face. In my opinion, globalisation has the advantages which can be helpful governments and also for individuals.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5
You present a clear positive view of globalisation and give relevant examples, particularly online communication between governments and international trade. However, the discussion addresses the task only partially: it focuses mainly on practical benefits and gives little explanation of how global interaction affects people or nations more broadly. The cultural paragraph is relevant, but its point is difficult to follow and is not supported with a specific example. Your conclusion restates your opinion, though it does not draw together the main reasons in much detail. To strengthen the response, develop each benefit with a clear explanation of its impact and a concrete example, and consider acknowledging a possible drawback before explaining why you still view globalisation positively.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0
The response has a recognisable overall structure: an introduction, two body paragraphs and a conclusion. The sequence from government communication and trade to cultural exchange is logical, and signposts such as “In addition,” “Furthermore” and “In conclusion” help guide the reader. However, cohesion is sometimes mechanical, with repeated references to the internet and globalisation, and some links between ideas are unclear. For example, the sentence beginning “Cultural practices, foods and ideas” does not clearly explain how these are shared or experienced. The first body paragraph also combines several examples without a clear progression between them. Use clearer topic sentences and connect each example explicitly to the point it supports; vary linking expressions and use pronouns or synonyms carefully to avoid repetition.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use enough topic-related vocabulary to communicate the main ideas, including “globalisation,” “trade,” “cultural practices” and “representative.” However, the range is limited and several word choices or collocations are noticeably inaccurate, sometimes making meaning less clear. For example, “modes of communications” is awkward, “confirmation of good” appears to mean confirmation of goods, and “trading of goods over internet save a costs” contains several unnatural expressions. Repetition of “internet,” “government” and “benefits” also limits flexibility. Aim to learn common word partnerships and check singular/plural forms in phrases. More precise expressions such as “international trade,” “online communication” and “exchange cultural experiences” would make your ideas clearer and more natural.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and more complex sentences, including clauses introduced by “which” and “without,” and the overall meaning is usually recoverable. However, the range is limited, and complex sentences are often faulty. Examples include “this change have a positive impact,” “interaction … have many benefits,” and “without have a long flight,” where verb forms or agreement are incorrect. Articles and sentence construction also cause problems, as in “which lot of time and cost” and “there any many benefits.” The cultural-exchange sentence is difficult to understand partly because its clauses are not formed clearly. Practise subject–verb agreement, infinitive patterns after “without,” and complete sentence structures. Shorter, accurately controlled sentences would help before you add more complex clauses.
