Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 4.0

The response attempts to discuss several aspects of globalisation, including internet use, transport, popular culture and trade, and it gives an opinion in the final sentence. However, the task asks whether increased interaction between nations is beneficial, and this central issue is only addressed minimally. Several points—such as clothing, festivals and people’s behaviour—are asserted without explaining how they result from international interaction or why they are beneficial. The examples about foreign people and charities are difficult to interpret, and the position is not clearly maintained or supported. To strengthen the response, state a direct view in the introduction, develop two relevant benefits with clear cause-and-effect reasoning, and explain specific examples that support that view.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 3.5

There is some attempt to organise the response: it moves from internet and transport to cultural interaction and trade, and includes a concluding statement. However, ideas are not arranged into clear paragraphs, so the reader has difficulty following the overall progression. Connectors such as “On the other hand,” “For example,” and “Moreover” are used, but they do not always signal a clear relationship; the “On the other hand” section does not present a distinct opposing view. Repeated references to globalisation and “plays a vital role” also make the development feel circular. Use separate paragraphs for each main point, link each example directly to its claim, and make the conclusion summarise the position established earlier.

Lexical Resource: Band 4.5

The response uses a basic range of topic-related vocabulary, including “globalisation,” “air travel,” “popular culture,” “interaction,” and “trading.” These choices show an attempt to address the subject, but vocabulary is often repetitive or imprecise, and some expressions make the intended meaning difficult to understand. For example, “many transports,” “harvest many crops by tracker in a form of trading,” and “social medical” do not communicate the intended ideas clearly. There are also frequent spelling errors, including “disscuss,” “belevies,” and “globilasation.” Build a more accurate set of collocations for this topic and check spelling carefully; precise wording will help readers understand the examples and arguments.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 4.5

The response mainly relies on short, simple statements, with a few attempts to connect ideas using “and,” “but,” and “by.” This gives some basic sentence variety, but control is inconsistent and errors often make relationships between ideas unclear. Examples include “many people thinks,” “air travel … makes people life easy,” and “globalisation make a vital and play role,” where subject–verb agreement and sentence construction are faulty. Articles and plural forms are also often missing or inaccurate, as in “in a form of trading” and “different nations.” To improve, practise building complete sentences with a clear subject and verb, check agreement and articles, and use a small number of accurately formed complex sentences to explain causes and examples.
