Student answer (Band 5.0)
Yes, we can agree on that thing that it internet is a great invention in the history of mankind.Because from now the world has become like the global village, mean that by clicking on the social apps we can simply watch that what is happening in the world. We are communicating with eachother , by the different social apps like whatsapp or instagram even if we are far from eachother .We can understand that thing by a simple example .As we know that when covid was discovered to the world,so we can only know about that deadly disease by social media and internet. As then the whole technology evolves. It is the time where internet helps mankind at its peak, but how? so the answers is totally simple like we convert our physical activites to online activities like online classes (zoom) and online shopping without directly going into the market. We can buy even multiple online fabrics in shoppify or other online shopping stores. So in this way internet evolves our life.
In past,we have to go and then buy aeroplane tickets, but now we can simply purchase it online and get know about schedule of flights as well. And from the internet, there is a lot of cultural exchange in the world. For example, if i have make my mind to visit America ,so simply i can but the tickets and went to America. And if somehow i cant afford to visit any place but theirs a curosity in me to get knowlage about their culture and traditions, i can simply get information about their traditions and culture as well that what kind of food they like?what kind of clothes they wear etc.
In conclusion their a lot of advantage of using internet but in a postive way beacause on the other hand our privacy has to be meant nothing due to hackers and auothorized persons who can hack our personal devices and stole our data without our permission. And theres a lot of online fraud is seen on the internet as well.
So in the end, i would say that ,use the internet but on positive side.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 4.5
You express a generally positive view of globalisation and include relevant examples, especially online classes and shopping during COVID-19, easier flight bookings, and learning about other cultures. You also acknowledge risks such as privacy breaches and online fraud, so the response engages with both benefits and drawbacks. However, the discussion is uneven: most of the essay focuses on internet use, while the task also names air travel, trade, and popular culture as ways nations interact. The examples are listed more than explained, and the conclusion’s advice to use the internet positively does not fully clarify your overall judgement about globalisation. Develop a clear position on the wider issue and explain how each example supports it.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 4.5
The response has a recognisable sequence: it introduces internet-based communication, gives examples, moves to travel and cultural exchange, and ends with risks and a conclusion. Paragraph breaks help separate some of these points. However, progression is not consistently clear, and several ideas run together within long paragraphs. Linking phrases such as “And from the internet” and “So in this way” are repetitive or do not show the precise relationship between ideas. The conclusion also shifts from globalisation to advice about internet use. Organise the essay into distinct paragraphs for benefits, drawbacks, and your position, and use clearer references and transitions so readers can follow how each point relates to global interaction.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use some relevant topic vocabulary, including “global village,” “cultural exchange,” “traditions,” “privacy,” and “online fraud,” which helps communicate the main subject. There is also an attempt to describe different forms of online activity. However, the range is limited and several word choices or collocations are inaccurate or repetitive, such as “internet evolves our life,” “get knowlage about their culture,” and “positive side.” Spelling errors, including “curosity,” “activites,” and “auothorized,” are noticeable and sometimes make the reader pause. Build a more precise vocabulary for international connections, trade, and cultural influence, and check spelling and common word combinations before submitting.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt some longer sentences and use clauses to give examples and explain conditions, as in “if I can’t afford to visit any place…” This shows an effort to go beyond short, simple statements. However, complex sentences are often faulty, and errors in verb forms, sentence construction, articles, and punctuation occur frequently enough to make parts difficult to follow. For example, “when covid was discovered to the world” and “I can but the tickets and went to America” have unclear or inconsistent grammatical patterns. Some sentences also join several ideas without clear punctuation. Practise building accurate sentences with one main idea and supporting clauses, paying particular attention to tense consistency and complete sentence structure.
