Student answer (Band 5.5)
In the past years, various things including Internet, air travel, popular culture were the sources of fast increased globalisation.Lot of people think this relation building is a good thing.
Overall the increase in globalisation occured due to the vast movement of people from one place to other because of their businesses, tourism, study and other factors.I think this is a good approach to expand network throughout the world and this could be profitable.
Nowadays, people are moving from one country to another for the betterment of their future,to explore new places in the world,to explore new cultures in the world and also to get higher education.Even countries are interacting with each other by having trades and developing diplomatic relations with each other to build their securities or the gaining of thieir national intrests.Internet showing new things to explore in different areas of the world and grabing tourists.People move one place to another with the help of Airoplanes.
I believe this is a positive initiative, people can learn from each other and it is good source of income for those who export things out and on the other hand it is a great oppertunity for those who are having lack of any product. For example,if Pakistan is facing scarcity of weat she imports it from Russia to fullfil her need.It is also a good source of culture sharing and helpful for the building of infrastructure in many countries,to support this, China constructed idustries in Pakistan and installed motorways on the other hand she also gaining benefit for its project like CPEC.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0
You address the question and state a clear positive view, especially when you say globalisation can “expand network throughout the world” and later describe learning, trade and cultural exchange as benefits. The examples of Pakistan importing wheat from Russia and China investing in Pakistan make the discussion relevant and concrete. However, the response focuses mainly on advantages and gives little consideration to why some people might disagree, despite the instruction to discuss the view. Several points are also asserted rather than explained: for instance, the links between tourism, the internet and increased globalisation are not fully clarified, and the China example could explain more precisely how both countries benefit. Develop the opposing perspective briefly and extend your strongest examples to make the discussion more balanced and complete.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5
The response has an identifiable overall structure: an introduction, a paragraph describing international movement and interaction, and a final paragraph presenting benefits and examples. This helps the reader follow the main positive position. However, progression within paragraphs is sometimes difficult to track because several distinct ideas are placed together without clear links. The paragraph beginning “Nowadays” moves from migration to diplomacy, the internet and air travel, while the final paragraph combines trade, culture, infrastructure and CPEC. Some connections, such as “to support this,” are not sufficiently clear about which claim the example supports. Organise each body paragraph around one main benefit, use clearer transitions between examples, and make references such as “this” or “she” unambiguous.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
You use a relevant range of topic vocabulary, including “globalisation,” “diplomatic relations,” “scarcity,” “export,” and “infrastructure.” These terms help communicate ideas about international links and their economic effects. However, word choice and collocation are often inaccurate or unnatural, as in “relation building,” “fast increased globalisation,” “grabing tourists,” and “a great oppertunity.” Spelling errors such as “weat,” “thieir,” and “idustries” also reduce accuracy. Some phrases, including “the gaining of their national interests,” make the intended meaning less direct. Aim to learn common word partnerships and check spelling carefully; choosing simpler, precise expressions will be more effective than using awkward or uncertain phrasing.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and more extended sentence forms, including a conditional example (“if Pakistan is facing scarcity of weat she imports it from Russia”) and a sentence linking China’s investment with CPEC. The main ideas are generally understandable, but grammatical control is inconsistent. For example, “Internet showing new things” lacks a finite verb, and “people move one place to another” is missing grammatical elements needed for the movement pattern. The opening also has problems with articles and sentence construction, while long sentences joined by commas make relationships between clauses unclear. Practise complete subject–verb structures, articles, and sentence boundaries. Breaking some longer sentences into shorter, accurately controlled ones will improve clarity while preserving your attempts at complex grammar.
