Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0
You give a clear overall opinion that globalisation is beneficial, and you offer relevant examples, including the spread of Indian and Chinese food and the influence of American and German technology. However, the discussion is only partially developed: the opening mostly repeats the prompt, and the body gives broad claims about cultural exchange and learning without explaining their effects in detail. The personal example about the internet helping with college and professional life is relevant but not connected clearly to interaction between nations. The response is also 5 words below the 250-word minimum; the 13 words copied from the task prompt are excluded from the count. To strengthen the response, explain both the view in the question and your own position with more specific reasoning and examples.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5
The response has a recognisable structure, with an introduction, supporting paragraphs and a conclusion, and the reader can follow the general argument in favour of globalisation. However, progression is limited because the introduction repeats much of the task wording, while the second paragraph defines globalisation and lists its channels rather than advancing a distinct point. Linking words such as “Moreover” are repeated and do not always show a clear relationship between ideas. Some references are also vague, as in “it” and “another one” in the conclusion. Give each body paragraph one clear focus, connect examples directly to the claim they support, and use a wider range of precise transitions and references.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use relevant topic vocabulary, including “globalisation,” “trade,” “popular culture,” “technology” and “dependent,” so the main subject is clear. However, the range is limited and several spelling and word-choice errors make the writing less fluent, for example “globalistation,” “comunities,” “usefull” and “globle.” Some expressions are also unnatural or imprecise, such as “bring people more closure” and “for their good.” These errors do not prevent the reader from understanding the main message, but they reduce precision and sometimes cause difficulty. Check spelling carefully and learn common collocations for discussing cultural exchange, international connections and economic benefits.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
Most sentences communicate a basic idea, and you attempt some longer structures, such as “It brings different people and their culture to the people that do not know about it.” However, the range is limited, and errors occur frequently in verb forms, agreement, articles and sentence boundaries. Examples include “Internet help,” “globalisation has bring,” “technology … helped,” and “It help”; these should use correctly formed verbs and consistent agreement. Several sentences run together without spaces after full stops, and capitalisation is inconsistent. Practise building accurate simple sentences first, then combine them with clauses using “because,” “although” and “which.” Proofread for verb forms, sentence boundaries and punctuation.
