Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 4.0

You express a clear positive view, stating, “I agree to the fact that globalisation has brought a powerful change,” and mention relevant areas such as political ties, cultural exchange, trade and travel. However, the response addresses the task only minimally: it does not discuss the opposing view, and the benefits listed are not explained with specific reasons or examples. The final point about the internet making interaction easier is relevant, but it is asserted rather than developed. The response also falls 135 words short of the required minimum, leaving too little space to address both parts of the question adequately. Develop each main idea with an explanation and a concrete example, and include a considered discussion of why some people may see globalisation differently.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5

The ideas are grouped into two paragraphs, and the opening moves from technological developments to globalisation before the second paragraph gives your position and supporting points. This provides some basic organisation. However, the response ends without a conclusion, and the second paragraph presents several topics—political ties, cultural fusion, economic growth, trade, travel and communication—without showing how they connect or which are most important. Linking phrases such as “Certainly” help signal emphasis, but they do not create a clear progression between the claims. To improve, organise the essay around a small number of main points, explain each in sequence, and use clear transitions between the discussion, your opinion and the conclusion.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.5

You use some topic-related vocabulary, including “globalisation,” “political ties,” “cultural fusion,” “treaties” and “interaction,” which helps communicate the subject. There are also attempts at more formal phrasing, such as “drastic shift” and “overall growth.” However, several expressions are imprecise or awkward, including “development index via strengthening,” “economy growth” and “paved way for the globalisation.” Spelling and presentation slips such as “communicaton” and “culture, trade” also reduce accuracy. The range is adequate for expressing a basic position, but greater precision and more natural collocations would strengthen it. Choose vocabulary that clearly describes the specific effect you mean, rather than relying on broad claims about growth or change.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5

You attempt both simple and more complex sentence forms, including the opening sentence with a list of areas and the sentence beginning “Certainly, boom in the field…”. The main meaning is generally understandable, but there are some errors in agreement, articles and sentence construction. For example, “the ongoing developments … has brought” should use a plural verb, while “The recent years has seen” also has a subject–verb agreement problem. The phrase “Certainly, boom …; the world has indeed come closer” is not a complete, well-connected construction, and “making the interaction super easy” is attached awkwardly. Review agreement and article use, and make sure each sentence has a clear grammatical structure. Vary sentence patterns while keeping them accurate.
