Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0
You address both the view that globalisation is beneficial and your own position, which is clearly positive: you argue that it can support peace, employment and education. The body paragraphs offer relevant examples, including international business, online shopping and tourism in Turkey and Gilgit. However, some points are asserted rather than explained. For example, the link between social media and “best companionship” is unclear, and the hot-air-balloon example does not fully show how globalisation benefits nations overall. The conclusion restates your position but adds little synthesis. To strengthen the response, explain the cause-and-effect links behind each example and develop the peace and education claims with specific reasoning.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5
The response has a recognisable structure, with an introduction, two body paragraphs and a conclusion, and the paragraphs generally group related points. Linking expressions such as “Moreover,” “for example” and “In this way” help signal relationships. However, progression within paragraphs is sometimes difficult to follow because several ideas are joined in long sentences, and some connections are unclear—for instance, the move from social media to companionship and then international business. Repetition of “through globalisation” and repeated references to internet, travel and business also make the conclusion feel like another list rather than a summary. Use clearer topic sentences, separate distinct examples, and make pronouns and transitions refer unambiguously to the idea being discussed.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
You attempt vocabulary suited to the topic, including “international markets,” “delivery charges,” “academics options” and “job market,” and you use examples from business and tourism to convey your meaning. However, a number of spelling errors and inaccurate or unnatural word choices make the writing less precise, such as “indiviuals,” “companienship,” “famous culture” and “optimistic” where “positive” is intended. Some phrases are also awkwardly formed, including “expand their in those countries.” These issues sometimes require the reader to infer your meaning. Build accuracy by checking spelling and learning common collocations—for example, “popular culture,” “employment opportunities” and “expand into new markets”—rather than relying on direct translations.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You use both simple statements and attempts at longer, more complex sentences, including clauses introduced by “because,” “which” and “when.” This gives the response some structural variety, and the main message is generally understandable. However, errors in sentence boundaries, agreement, articles and verb forms occur across the response. For example, “Most individuals claims” has a subject–verb agreement error, while “Many countries offers” does too; “people wants” also needs agreement. Several sentences run together without appropriate punctuation, particularly the sentence beginning “Nowadays, people can interact.” Practise building complex sentences with clear clause boundaries, and check subject–verb agreement and articles before submitting.
