Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5

You give a clear overall opinion that globalisation is beneficial, and you offer relevant points about online access, air travel, international business, cultural interest and peace. However, the discussion is only partly developed: the essay mainly explains how globalisation grows, rather than examining why increased interaction is good or considering any drawbacks or contrasting view. For example, the Greece example describes how someone might learn about a culture and travel, but does not explain the wider benefit of this exchange. The claim that globalisation promotes peace is also asserted without support. To strengthen the response, explain the effects of each main benefit with a specific example and address the view in the prompt more directly.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0

The response has a recognisable structure, with an introduction, two body paragraphs and a conclusion, and the ideas generally follow a sensible order. Linking phrases such as “To begin with,” “Moreover,” and “To sum up” help signal stages in the argument. However, progression within paragraphs is sometimes unclear: the first body paragraph moves from internet access to business, air travel and Greek culture without clearly separating or connecting these points. Some transitions are mechanical, and the relationship between the example about trade and the claim about travel is not fully explained. Use topic sentences that state each paragraph’s main benefit, then develop it with a connected explanation and example. Clearer referencing would also help readers follow who or what “each country” and “he” refer to.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You use a relevant set of topic words, including “globalisation,” “international business,” “popular cultures,” “opportunities” and “prosperous world,” so the meaning is usually understandable. However, the range is limited and several phrases are inaccurate or awkward, such as “facilities of aeroplanes,” “has rade with country” and “out of stok.” Spelling errors—including “availibality,” “benificial” and “countires”—are noticeable and sometimes make the reader pause. Some word choices also do not express the intended idea precisely; for instance, “attraction of some popular cultures” is unclear in context. Build a more accurate vocabulary for describing benefits, such as cultural exchange, access to markets and international cooperation, and check spelling and collocations carefully.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt both simple and longer sentences, including clauses with “which” and “if,” but control is inconsistent. Errors in agreement and verb forms appear in examples such as “some cultures … attracts people” and “which … help in globalisation.” Sentence boundaries and punctuation also need attention: “within few hours.for instance” runs together, while commas are often separated from the preceding word. Articles and sentence construction are sometimes missing or faulty, as in “travel to other country” and “if some want to about the old and traditional culture.” These problems can make parts of the explanation difficult to follow. Practise building accurate complex sentences, checking subject–verb agreement, articles and punctuation before adding further clauses.
