Student answer (Band 6.0)

It is true that use of internet, international trade and popular culture as well as travel have seen substantial growth which accelerated the globalisation recently. I argue that the increase in interaction between the people of defferent nations with the help of globalisation is a positive sign.

Internet has brought upon a revolutionary change in terms of interaction between people around the world. In the pre internet era, when posting letters, mails, telegram, phone and fax were the only means of communication in the global economy, the overall interaction was signaficantly limited in global communities. Now with the help of internet people can easily interact with global communities via different social media such as facebook, instagram, telegram, twitter and tiktok. Now a local producer can easily access the global market and analise the demand of his product in foreign countries through internet. Advertising is a crucial factor for product marketing which has been made easy by different internet based ad farm such as google ad sense which substantially increased the reach of international customer. This increased reach and interaction has accelarated global trade which has a positive impact on global economy as well.

When it comes to air travel, the increase in international flight route and travellers significantly reduced the flight fare. As a result global tourism has sharply increase in recent years. Several tourism based countries such as Indonesia, Thailand, Malaysia, India, italy and Spain witnessed a significant amount of economic boost from the increase of tourism based businesses. The foreign culture is now widely accessible via internet nowadays. For example an American now has easy access to the Indian culture and vice versa (ie. films and songs) via online platform. Therefore popularity of foreign culture has also become widespread which is a positive sign for cultural diversification.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0

Your position is clear from the introduction: you consider increased international interaction a positive development. You support this view with relevant points about online communication and trade, cheaper air travel and tourism, and access to other cultures. These examples address the topic, but the discussion is not fully balanced or developed: the essay mainly explains benefits and does not explore why some people might disagree with the view. Some claims, such as tourism producing an “economic boost,” would be stronger with a specific example or explanation of how local communities benefit. Develop each main point further and make your response to the “discuss this view” element more explicit to provide fuller coverage of the task.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0

The response has a clear overall structure: an introduction states your view, followed by paragraphs on internet-based interaction and air travel and cultural exchange. The examples generally follow the points they illustrate, so the reader can follow the argument. However, the second body paragraph combines tourism and cultural access without a clear transition between these distinct ideas, and the essay ends without a concluding paragraph that draws the discussion together. Some linking is also repetitive, particularly the repeated use of “Now” and “Therefore.” Use clearer topic sentences, separate or more explicitly connect the tourism and culture points, and add a concise conclusion. These changes would make progression and cohesion more controlled.

Lexical Resource: Band 6.0

You use an adequate range of topic-related vocabulary, including “global economy,” “international flight route,” “cultural diversification,” and “economic boost.” These choices help communicate the main ideas, and you attempt some less common expressions. However, several word-choice and collocation errors reduce precision, such as “globalisation recently,” “global communities,” “foreign culture,” and “tourism based businesses.” There are also spelling errors, including “defferent,” “signaficantly,” “analise,” and “accelarated.” These do not prevent understanding, but they make the writing less polished. Check spelling carefully and choose more natural combinations, such as “in recent years,” “people worldwide,” and “tourism-related businesses.”

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 6.0

You use a mix of simple and complex sentence forms, including a time clause beginning “when posting letters” and a conditional-style example about producers accessing overseas markets. Most sentences communicate their meaning, but some grammatical errors remain. For example, “the increase … have seen” has a subject–verb agreement problem, while “tourism has sharply increase” uses the wrong verb form. Articles and sentence construction also need attention in phrases such as “use of internet” and “when posting letters, mails, telegram, phone and fax were the only means.” Review agreement, verb forms, and article use, and proofread long sentences for clear structure. Greater accuracy across these patterns would make your argument easier to read.
