Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 4.0
You identify several relevant benefits of globalisation, including easier access to information, more convenient travel and opportunities for international trade. Your opening also gives a clear positive opinion. However, the response addresses the task only partially: it does not discuss possible disadvantages or explain the opposing view, and the ideas are mostly asserted rather than supported with examples. The final point about awareness of other cultures is cut off, so it cannot develop into a complete argument. The response is also 111 words below the required minimum, which leaves too little space to discuss both sides and justify your opinion. Develop each main point with a specific example and a clear explanation of its significance.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 4.5
There is a basic attempt to organise the response: an introduction is followed by points about the internet, air travel and trade. This gives the reader some sense of the topics you intend to cover. However, progression is limited because the ideas are not developed into complete paragraphs, and the final sentence ends abruptly at “every nat”. Some links between sentences are also unclear; for example, “As nowadays individuals can understand…” is not a complete sentence connected grammatically to the previous one. Use clear topic sentences, complete each paragraph’s explanation, and connect examples to the point they support. A concluding paragraph would also help the response feel complete.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use some relevant vocabulary for the topic, including “globalisation”, “exposure”, “opportunities”, “competition” and “trade”. These choices show an attempt to discuss more than everyday subjects. However, the range is limited, and several spelling and word-choice errors make parts of the response less clear, such as “availavbility”, “suddlenly” and “convienient”. Some phrases are also unnatural, including “internet out for us” and “effective for any nations to choose buying or selling”. Aim for accurate topic-specific collocations and check spelling carefully. For instance, you could describe trade as enabling countries to “buy and sell goods in international markets” and say that travel has become “more accessible”.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and more complex sentence forms, including the clause beginning “because trade has become…” and the sentence about people learning while sitting in their study room. However, complex structures are often faulty, and errors sometimes make the intended meaning difficult to follow. “I also firmly believe that internet has definetly bring us…” has an incorrect verb form, while “the opportunities exists” has a subject–verb agreement error. “As nowadays individuals can understand…” is a dependent clause presented as a sentence, and “Travelling around the world has become…” needs more accurate sentence construction around its supporting details. Practise complete sentences, verb agreement and tense forms, then proofread each sentence for a clear subject and main verb.
