Student answer (Band 5.5)
Nowadays, globalisation has become one of the most popular debate. in recent years , through internet ,trade , popular culture and air travel ,globalisation has rapidly increase. most people believe globalisation is a good things because it increase interaction between nations.
In my point of view, i believe that globalisation is very beneficial for nation and business. when many countries work together it will be usefull for the nation. it increased because of internet ,air travel trade and popular culture. people looks for jobs in other countries via internet. they travel from one country to another country it increase the tourism department. for example, when many countries work together it help them to increase their economy and it makes country successfull.
On the other hands, there are some drawbacks that are harmfull for the nation. when globalisation is increased it destroy the local culture and their traditional activities. people feel embarace from their local culture.peopl wants to adopt other culture. they forget their traditional activities.one main disadvantage is that they lose their jobs from their own country and go other country to find a good jobs. for instance ,WF magazine print that 40% people leave their countries to find a jobs in other countries.
In a nutt shell, I believe that globalisation is good for nation because it encourage trade between countires and it usefull for the nation. it increase the number of jobs. people explore other culture through the air travel. but their drawbacks should not be ignore because it is harmfull for the local culture and country economy. people leave their country to find better jobs in other countries.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5
You discuss both the benefits and drawbacks of globalisation and state a clear overall view that it is beneficial, particularly for nations, businesses and employment. Relevant points include increased tourism and trade, alongside possible harm to local culture and people moving abroad for work. However, the benefits are asserted more than explained: for example, “it makes country successful” does not show how cooperation improves an economy. The claim that people lose jobs in their own country is also not clearly connected to globalisation, and the magazine statistic is not explained or substantiated. Develop fewer points with clearer cause-and-effect reasoning and examples, and make your position more consistent by acknowledging how the drawbacks affect your overall judgement.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5
The response has a recognisable structure: an introduction, separate paragraphs for benefits and drawbacks, and a conclusion. This helps the reader identify the main sides of the discussion. However, progression within paragraphs is limited, and ideas are often placed next to one another without showing their relationship. In the benefits paragraph, jobs, travel, tourism and economic success are mentioned, but the links between them are not fully explained. Connectors such as “On the other hands” and “In a nutt shell” are inaccurate, while repeated use of “when” and “for example” makes cohesion mechanical. Use a clearer sequence within each paragraph—claim, explanation, example—and refer back to ideas with precise linking phrases.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use some relevant topic vocabulary, including “globalisation,” “interaction,” “tourism,” “traditional activities” and “economy,” so the main ideas are generally understandable. However, the range is limited and several words or phrases are repeated, especially “good,” “increase” and “country.” There are also noticeable spelling and word-choice problems, such as “usefull,” “successfull,” “harmfull,” “embarace” and “nutt shell.” Some expressions are not natural in context, including “tourism department” and “a good jobs.” These errors make parts of the response less clear and precise. Build a wider set of accurate collocations for discussing economic effects, cultural change and employment, and check spelling and word forms during revision.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
Most sentences use simple patterns, and you attempt some longer clauses with “because,” “when” and “that.” However, the range remains limited, and frequent errors in sentence formation and agreement sometimes make the meaning difficult to follow. Examples include “globalisation has rapidly increase,” “it increase the tourism department,” and “when many countries work together it help them.” Articles and plurals are also inconsistent, as in “a good jobs,” while sentence boundaries and capitalisation are often inaccurate. Practise forming accurate subject–verb–object sentences first, then add subordinate clauses and check that the verb agrees with its subject. Careful editing for tense, articles, plurals and punctuation would improve clarity.
