Student answer (Band 6.0)
Historically the world was divided on the bases of many features. Culture, race, geography, language, and religion have been the main division factors of our societies and nations. People have been living in their own spheres. Before the fourteenth century, the american continents remained unknown to the rest of world. With the advent of science, societies became interlinked. In the current era, interaction between nations has come to a point that we percept the world as a global village.
Many people are of the view that globalisation has reached at this stage because of the increased interaction between them with the latest advancement in the technology, business and popular culture which is a good omen. An election in any country is keenly observed throughout the world despite all the concerns if any. Internet, the artificial intelligence or any medical invention reaches throughout the world within no time. Any professional can benefit from any organisation or business while sitting at home. Thus the globalisation has become reality.
In my opinion, the globalisation is there before us wether we believe it or not. One thing that happens at any corner of the world has eventual effect on the rest of world momentarily. What we need to do is to regulate the things in a manner that this may not be misused. The world has been watching the wars and unrest escalating rapidly for the last few decades due to lack of enforcement of statutes and other norms which is alarming.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0
You address the topic and give a position: globalisation is already a reality, and it needs regulation to prevent misuse. Examples such as worldwide attention to elections, rapid access to medical inventions, and remote work are relevant. However, the discussion of why increased interaction is a good thing is brief, and the examples are mostly asserted rather than explained. The final paragraph shifts towards wars and weak enforcement without showing clearly how these illustrate the effects of globalisation. The response also falls two words short of the required minimum. Develop both the benefits and possible risks more fully, and make your opinion on whether increased interaction is beneficial explicit and consistent.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0
The response has a clear overall arrangement: historical context, examples of modern global interaction, and a concluding personal view. Paragraph breaks help distinguish these stages, and linking expressions such as “With the advent of” and “Thus” guide the reader. However, the progression within the second and third paragraphs is sometimes abrupt. For example, the move from professional work at home to “Thus the globalisation has become reality” does not fully connect the example to the claim that globalisation is good. Likewise, the reference to wars and unrest needs a clearer link to the argument. Use topic sentences and more explicit connections between each example and your main point; clarify references such as “them” and “this.”
Lexical Resource: Band 6.0
You use an adequate range of topic-related vocabulary, including “interlinked,” “global village,” “advancement,” “enforcement,” and “unrest.” These choices help communicate the broad subject, and the meaning is generally understandable. There are also attempts at less common or formal expressions, but some are inaccurate or unnatural in context: “on the bases of many features,” “good omen,” and “reaches throughout the world” do not express the intended ideas precisely. Spelling and word-form choices such as “wether” and “percept” also reduce accuracy. Aim for natural collocations and check spelling carefully; precise phrases such as “on the basis of,” “a positive development,” and “spreads worldwide” would make the argument clearer.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 6.0
You use a mix of simple and more complex forms, including the opening series of statements and the conditional construction “What we need to do is to regulate the things in a manner that this may not be misused.” Most sentences remain understandable, so grammatical errors rarely block communication. Some errors occur in articles, prepositions, agreement, and sentence construction. For instance, “the rest of world” needs an article, while “globalisation has reached at this stage” uses an incorrect preposition pattern. “One thing that happens … has eventual effect” also needs an article before “effect.” Review article use and verb patterns, and revise longer sentences to ensure that each clause connects grammatically and clearly.
