Student answer (Band 6.0)

Now the globalisation has increased extensively. Now internet makes it very easy, you can flight, trade and can exchange your culture with other countries, through online socialization. Most of the people think that it is very positive thing and bring nations close. In my opinion it is a great thing but we should not outweigh its other side.

Globalisation now days increase rapaidly, it generates many job opportunities. Now peolpe could work remotly. International companies make jobs for international experts like eBbay, Amazone, netflix. More over now people do follow different trends online and also enjoy cultural events of other countires like Eid, and Diwali, and Halloween celebrations. Moreover we have easy access to online shopping websites like we can now order anything we want from all arround the world from just one click. this increases the trades among the countires. It also increases the tourism of country with international visitors.

Despite these advantages, we should not ignore the disadvantages of this globalisation. Now with increase in online jobs we can see shortage of skilled persons in our country, because people prefer international companies over their countries jobs. Furthermore, because of online platforms, now the local cinemas and film industry getting down day by day. Our culture also starting to lose its natural taste and now mixing with other countires culture.

Conclusion to that, it is a great thing we should promote globalisation becuase it increase and strong the economy of country, At the same time Government should set some policies to save the moral and cultural valuse.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.5

You address both sides of the discussion and state a clear position: globalisation is beneficial, but its cultural effects should be managed. Relevant supporting points include employment with international companies, cultural exchange, online shopping and tourism; you also identify possible effects on local employment and film industries. This covers the task well and shows some breadth. However, several claims are asserted rather than explained—for example, that international work creates a shortage of skilled people locally, or that online platforms cause local cinema to decline. Explain the cause-and-effect link and add a specific example. Your conclusion repeats your position and proposes government policies, but the policies remain general. More developed support and a consistently precise argument would strengthen the response further.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0

The response has a recognisable overall structure: an introduction, a paragraph presenting benefits, a paragraph on disadvantages, and a conclusion. The contrast signalled by “Despite these advantages” helps readers follow the shift in argument, and examples are generally grouped by topic. However, progression within paragraphs is sometimes list-like, particularly in the benefits paragraph, where jobs, cultural events, shopping and tourism are added with limited explanation of how the points connect. Linking phrases such as “Moreover” are repeated, and the opening repeats “Now.” Some references, including “it” and “this,” could be made more precise. Organise each body paragraph around a clearer central idea, then explain and illustrate it before moving to the next point.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.5

You use a relevant range of topic vocabulary, including “globalisation,” “job opportunities,” “international companies,” “cultural events,” “tourism” and “policies.” These choices make the main ideas understandable, and phrases such as “online shopping websites” suit the subject. However, spelling errors and imprecise or unnatural combinations are noticeable, including “rapaidly,” “countires,” “increase and strong the economy,” and “save the moral and cultural valuse.” Some wording is also vague, such as “other side” and “natural taste” when discussing cultural change. Aim for accurate collocations and more precise terms—for example, describe how globalisation “strengthens the economy” or “influences local cultural traditions.” Proofreading spelling would also improve clarity and control.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt both simple and more extended sentence forms, including a contrastive clause beginning “Despite these advantages” and a reason introduced by “because.” The overall meaning is usually recoverable, but errors in sentence construction and verb forms are frequent enough to make some sentences awkward or difficult to process. For example, “Globalisation now days increase rapaidly” needs a correctly formed subject–verb construction, while “the local cinemas and film industry getting down” lacks a finite verb and has unclear agreement. The opening also shifts between “globalisation” and “you” without a clear grammatical link. Practise building complete sentences with consistent subjects and verbs, and check articles, agreement, and punctuation when joining clauses.
