Student answer (Band 5.5)
It is true that internet has drastically changed the world and how people interact now . back to when internet was not available the nations were not interacting with each other only tourists or what they watch on news but now through internet everyone can connect everywhere and netwroking is so much easier than ever before. globalisation has increased exponentially , now people gets to know about every culture thier customs traditions , through internet even we can connect with people of different languages. Now people can easily get guidance on anything anywhere in the globe and travelling is muich easier whether its booking flights getting hotels or finding restaurants for thier favourite foods, even buisness growth and trading has gotten easier. if we talk about if it is a good thing or not in my opinion I ould definitely sya yes it is a very good thing that we cann connect to different nations we are not bounded by borders now to become friends with someone or getting to know someone , even helping someone through online funds is something I really found best thing internet made easier and it is so peaceful too see that all of us can help from our homes and can get updates , one thing which internet and globalisation has made easier is study oppurtunities all across the globe now non affording students are able to get information about universities and countries just through the people of that region through internet or students living there. globalisation also helped developing countries accessing to other nations and getting oppurtunities for thier youth

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0
You address both the general benefits of globalisation and your own view, which is clearly positive: “I would definitely say yes.” Relevant points include easier communication, travel, trade, charitable support and access to study information. These examples show a sound understanding of the topic. However, several points are listed rather than explained. For instance, you mention that globalisation helps developing countries and creates opportunities for young people, but do not show how this happens or give a specific example. The discussion also focuses heavily on the internet, while the prompt includes wider interaction between nations. Develop fewer ideas in more depth and briefly acknowledge a possible drawback before explaining why you still consider globalisation beneficial.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 4.5
The response contains a recognisable line of thought: it introduces increased connection, gives examples of benefits and states a positive opinion. However, it is presented as one long paragraph, so the reader has little help distinguishing the introduction, supporting points and conclusion. Ideas also run together, particularly in the section beginning “if we talk about if it is a good thing,” where communication, helping others and education appear in a single extended sequence. Linking is mostly achieved through repeated “now,” “even” and “through internet,” rather than varied, precise transitions. Use separate paragraphs for your position and main reasons, and make each paragraph develop one central idea with clear links between sentences.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
You use a relevant range of topic vocabulary, including “globalisation,” “cultures,” “traditions,” “trading,” “study opportunities” and “developing countries.” This is enough to communicate several aspects of the topic, and some phrases show an attempt to be specific, such as “online funds.” However, repetition of “internet,” “easier” and “people” limits flexibility, while some word choices or collocations are unclear, including “accessing to other nations” and “non affording students.” Spelling errors such as “netwroking,” “buisness” and “oppurtunities” are also noticeable. Build a more precise range for discussing international exchange, and check spelling and natural word combinations during revision.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple statements and longer sentences with clauses, for example, “globalisation has increased exponentially” and the sentence explaining how students learn about universities through people in a region. This shows some range, but long sentences are often joined without clear punctuation, making relationships between ideas difficult to follow. There are also errors in articles, agreement and verb forms: “internet has” needs an article, “people gets” should be “people get,” and “we cann connect” contains an incorrect verb form. Capitalisation and spacing around punctuation are inconsistent as well. Practise building accurate complex sentences, then divide them when they contain several separate points; careful proofreading will improve clarity.
