Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5
You present a relevant, generally positive view of globalisation and give two supporting reasons: greater cultural awareness and expanded job opportunities. The body paragraphs include examples, such as international employment and shipping oil, so the response addresses the main topic. However, the discussion is only partly developed: the cultural example about people in South America marrying more than five people in a year is unclear and does not convincingly show how global interaction benefits people. The opening also gives limited explanation of your position, and the conclusion mainly repeats the two benefits rather than drawing them together or adding a clear final judgement. Develop each reason with a more credible example and explain its effect to make your response more complete.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0
The response has a recognisable structure: an introduction, two body paragraphs signalled by “Firstly” and “Moreover,” and a conclusion. This makes the main line of argument easy to identify. Some progression is also present, moving from cultural exchange to employment. However, connections between ideas are sometimes mechanical or unclear. For example, “As the job market elevates” does not clearly explain the link between employment and national revenue, while “Both the reason as valid point” makes the conclusion difficult to follow. Several sentences run ideas together without clear punctuation, as in the opening paragraph. Use clearer topic sentences, make each example explicitly support its paragraph’s claim, and check that linking phrases express the intended relationship.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You attempt topic-related vocabulary, including “globalisation,” “foreign culture,” “job opportunity,” “revenue,” and “logistics,” and this gives the response some range beyond basic everyday language. However, word choice and collocation are often inaccurate or awkward, sometimes making the intended meaning difficult to understand. Examples include “famous culture,” “internationalization” where “globalisation” would be more precise, and “a good pay off” for the benefit of a trade chain. There are also noticeable spelling and word-form errors, such as “diffrent,” “finaclly,” and “benefit” where a plural is needed. Build a reliable set of collocations for this topic and proofread spelling and word forms; prioritise precise, natural phrasing over ambitious but uncertain vocabulary.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and more extended sentence forms, including a cause-and-effect structure beginning “As the job market elevates” and an example introduced by “For instance.” However, control is inconsistent, and errors in sentence structure, agreement, articles, and punctuation frequently affect clarity. For example, “It plays an significant role … has they will” contains article and clause errors, while “it expand the job opportunity” has subject–verb and number problems. The opening also joins sentences without adequate spacing or punctuation, and the conclusion contains incomplete or poorly formed clauses. Practise accurate basic sentence patterns first, then add subordinate clauses; check subject–verb agreement, articles, plural forms, and sentence boundaries during revision.
