Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 4.5

You give a clear overall view in favour of globalisation, especially in the conclusion, and you mention relevant benefits such as tourism, resource use, international support and easier travel. However, the response does not fully discuss the view in the prompt: the two body paragraphs largely repeat positive claims, and there is little consideration of why increased interaction between nations might be beneficial beyond these examples. Several points remain unclear or insufficiently explained—for instance, how tourism leads to the “proper use” of resources, or what specific support other nations could provide. Develop fewer ideas with concrete explanations or examples, and state your position more directly in the introduction. This would make the response address the task more fully rather than relying on broad, under-developed claims.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0

The response has a recognisable structure, with an introduction, two body paragraphs and a conclusion. Paragraphs also have basic topic sentences, and signposts such as “To begin with,” “On the other hand,” and “In conclusion” help show the intended organisation. However, progression is limited: both body paragraphs present advantages, so “On the other hand” does not introduce a contrasting view and the relationship between the sections is unclear. Linking phrases such as “To explain,” “Similarly,” and “Elaborating further” are used mechanically, while some ideas repeat rather than build on one another. Organise the body around distinct points and use transitions that accurately express their relationship. Clearer links between each claim, explanation and example would improve the overall flow.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You use a range of topic-related words, including “globalisation,” “resources,” “development,” and “relationship,” and the reader can generally understand the intended meaning. However, vocabulary is often repetitive or imprecise, as in repeated references to “development” and “different aspects.” Some combinations are unnatural, such as “get introduced in other nations,” “development will run in the fast phase,” and “accessible to the countries.” Spelling errors, including “intoduced,” “developmwnt,” and “enthuastic,” also reduce accuracy. Aim for more precise collocations and check spelling carefully. For example, explain that tourism can “support local economies” rather than saying resources will be properly used, and use “strengthen diplomatic ties” instead of the general phrase “makes stronger relationship.”

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt both simple and more extended sentences, including conditional structures such as “if we communicate with other nations” and “if we have to travel around the world.” However, control is inconsistent, and errors occur frequently enough to make some sentences awkward or difficult to follow. Examples include “This essay will discussed,” “the first advantages is,” “they will helps us,” and “the proper use of resources will happened.” There are also problems with articles, agreement and sentence boundaries, as in “the another merits” and the lowercase “some” after the opening sentence. Practise accurate verb forms and subject–verb agreement first, then check articles and punctuation. Building complex sentences from reliable patterns will help you express your ideas more clearly.
