Student answer (Band 5.5)
There is no doubt that internet has become a basic need of all the people around the world and in recent years it has become the key tool for trading, air travel and adapting to popular cultures around the world making the world a global village.
In my opinion this claim is totally correct because what we see around us validate this claim. People in recent years have become more connected just because of internet, we can connect to anyone, anywhere around the world and exchange our knowledge and interests. trading has been increased all around the world just because of internet which made it accessible to everyone. Otherwise in past years there was no chance for an ordinary person to take part in trading field. Likewise air travel has also increased making it easy to travel, saving time.
Moreover, the culural awarness has also increased. People now a days are more fimiliar with different cultures around the world which makes it easy for them to adapt to popular cultures which admires them the most. In recent years different cultural events are bein celebrated all around the world at the same time, just because of internet which was never seen in past years. In recent days halloween was celebrated globally and everyone participated and took their part. all these factors moved the world to globalisation and uniting all the people with different cultutes, languages and interests.
In short, the claim made is obviosly correct, internet has rapidly increased air travel, trading, adapting to popular cultures and globalisation.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5
Your position is clear: you agree that globalisation and interaction between nations are beneficial, and you discuss internet communication, trade, air travel and cultural exchange. These points are relevant, and the Halloween example gives one concrete illustration. However, the response mainly lists benefits rather than explaining their effects in depth. For instance, you say internet access has made trading available to ordinary people, but do not explain how this changes people’s lives or provide a specific example. Air travel is mentioned only briefly, and the discussion does not consider any qualification or contrasting view. To strengthen the response, develop fewer points with clear explanations and examples, and make sure each part of the prompt is addressed with sufficient detail.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0
The response has a recognisable structure: an introduction, two body paragraphs and a conclusion. The ideas generally progress from connectivity and trade to cultural awareness, with linking expressions such as “Moreover,” “Likewise” and “In short.” This makes the overall argument understandable. However, some connections are mechanical or unclear. The opening sentence combines several topics, and the second paragraph moves quickly from internet use to trade and air travel without showing how each point relates to the main claim. The final paragraph largely repeats the introduction rather than drawing the discussion together. Use clearer topic sentences, develop one main idea at a time, and make references such as “this claim” more specific so the reader can follow the argument smoothly.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use vocabulary relevant to the topic, including “global village,” “exchange our knowledge,” “cultural events” and “participated,” so the main ideas can be understood. However, the range is limited and several expressions are repeated, particularly “around the world,” “in recent years” and “internet.” Some word choices and collocations are inaccurate or awkward, such as “cultural awareness has also increased,” “cultures which admires them” and “take their part.” Spelling errors, including “culural,” “fimiliar,” “obviosly” and “cultutes,” also reduce accuracy. Build a wider set of precise terms for international connections and cultural exchange, and check spelling and collocations carefully. More natural phrasing would make your ideas clearer and more convincing.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5
You attempt both simple and complex sentences, including clauses with “because,” “which” and “just because of,” and the overall meaning is usually clear. However, some sentence structures and grammatical forms are inaccurate. For example, “what we see around us validate this claim” has a subject–verb agreement error, while “cultures which admires them” also has incorrect agreement. The opening sentence is a long, loosely connected structure, and the sentence beginning “In recent years different cultural events…” needs clearer punctuation and clause control. There are also inconsistent capitalisation and sentence boundaries, as in “all these factors.” Practise accurate agreement and build longer sentences with clear clause relationships; careful proofreading will help reduce these errors.
