Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 4.0

You address the topic by presenting a benefit of globalisation—economic opportunities through trade and employment—and a drawback involving pressure on local shops and traditions. However, the response only minimally develops the discussion: the benefits are asserted rather than explained, and the drawback is brief. Your opinion is only partly clear in the opening, where you call the trend a good connection but then say it has drawbacks; the conclusion, “in conclusion global,” is unfinished and does not state your final view. The response also contains 139 words, below the required 250; the eight words copied from the prompt are excluded from that count. Develop both sides with specific explanations or examples, and finish with a clear, consistent opinion.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0

There is some basic organisation: an opening, a paragraph beginning “on the one hand,” a contrasting paragraph beginning “on the other hand,” and an attempted conclusion. These signposts help readers recognise the intended structure. However, progression within the paragraphs is limited, and the final line is incomplete, so the response does not reach a clear ending. Connections between ideas are also sometimes unclear: the sentence about air travel shifts from discovering cultures to making people friendly without explaining the link. Use complete paragraphs with one developed main idea each, connect examples explicitly to the point they support, and ensure the conclusion summarises your position rather than stopping mid-thought.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You use some topic-relevant vocabulary, including “globalization,” “trade,” “developing countries,” “local culture,” and “local shops,” which makes the general subject understandable. However, the range is limited and several inaccurate or misspelled expressions make meaning harder to follow, such as “increasing very past,” “q good jobs,” and “brand shpops.” Some phrases are also imprecise, including “international person” and “make people more friendly.” Aim for accurate collocations and a wider range of terms for economic and cultural effects, such as “foreign companies,” “employment opportunities,” and “cultural traditions.” Proofreading spelling and choosing precise phrases will make your ideas clearer and more convincing.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 4.5

The response mainly uses simple sentence patterns, with a few attempts to join ideas using “because,” “for example,” and “so.” These attempts show some awareness of linking clauses, but control is weak and errors are frequent. For instance, “the globalization have” and “this trend have” show subject–verb agreement problems, while “it help” and “the distroy” have incorrect verb forms. Articles and plurals are also inconsistent, as in “in country economy” and “many individual.” Punctuation is often missing, creating long, difficult-to-follow sentences. Practise accurate simple sentences first, then build longer sentences with clear clause boundaries and check agreement, articles, and verb forms.
