Student answer (Band 6.0)
Nowadays, due to technology the world has become much more conected via internet, tarde and by air travel. This is called globalisation. Although, some people believe that this increase interraction between different nations is a positive development . I believe that globalization brings several advantages, but there are some challenges that need to be addressed. In this essay i will discuss both views and give my opinion.
Firstly, there are some several advantages of globalization. The primary benefits are economic developments and international trades. Different countries can buy and sells products and give sevices across the countries. It creates jobs and help developing nations to improve their standards. Furthermore, via internet and air travel people can visit different countries and experience their cultures, learn languages and try their local food. Through fast technology people can communicate across the borders. For instance, medical research can shares within seconds globally which help other nations to solve major world problem together.
On the other hand, globalosation have some negative effect. One major concern is the loss of local cultures. As popular culturs and traditions comes from Westren countries through movies, music and internet and many young generation sstart to followe it which cause disappearance o local language and culture. Moreover, it also cause economic inequality in developing countries. Many multinational companies take a lot of benifits from trade, and local business still compete with these big organization, which can lead to lob losses in certain sector.
In conclusion, although globalisation can threaten local cultures and creates some challanges to local business. I believe overall it has positive trend. The internaltional trade, exchange of cultures and economic development outweigh the drawbacks.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.5
You address both sides of the discussion and state a clear overall view: globalisation has drawbacks, but its benefits outweigh them. Relevant examples include international trade, cultural exchange and the sharing of medical research. This covers the task well, and the conclusion reinforces your position. However, some points are asserted rather than fully explained. For example, you mention that trade creates jobs and improves standards, but do not show how this happens or give a specific illustration. The concern about multinational companies and local businesses is also introduced but not developed. To strengthen the response, explain the effects of these examples in more detail and make the link between each reason and your overall judgement explicit.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 7.0
The response has a clear overall structure: an introduction, a paragraph on benefits, a paragraph on drawbacks and a conclusion. The progression from advantages to disadvantages is easy to follow, and signposts such as “Firstly,” “On the other hand” and “In conclusion” help guide the reader. Within paragraphs, ideas generally follow a sensible order, moving from trade to travel and communication in the benefits paragraph. Some linking is a little mechanical, however, and a few sentences are crowded together, such as the point about communicating across borders followed immediately by the medical-research example. Use a wider range of natural links and make relationships between examples clearer. Consistent paragraphing and clearer sentence boundaries would make the progression smoother.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
You use relevant vocabulary for the topic, including “globalisation,” “international trade,” “local cultures,” “multinational companies” and “economic inequality.” These choices allow you to discuss both benefits and risks. However, spelling errors and inaccurate word forms are noticeable, including “conected,” “interraction,” “sevices,” “globalosation” and “benifits.” Some combinations are also unnatural, such as “economic developments” for the intended benefit and “take a lot of benefits from trade.” Repetition of general terms such as “countries,” “people” and “advantages” limits precision. Build a reliable set of topic-specific collocations, check spelling carefully, and choose more exact expressions for effects on employment, businesses and cultural identity.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5
You attempt both simple and complex sentence forms, including a concession in “Although …” and a relative clause in “which can lead to job losses.” The overall meaning is usually clear, but errors in agreement, verb forms, articles and sentence construction occur across the response. For example, “Different countries can buy and sells” mixes verb forms, while “globalisation have” and “traditions comes” have subject–verb agreement errors. The opening “Although” clause is not correctly attached to a main clause, and “In this essay i will” needs correct capitalisation and punctuation. Practise checking each sentence for a clear main clause, consistent verb forms and agreement. More accurate control of these patterns would make your varied structures easier to follow.
