Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0
Your position is clear: you support globalisation, and you give relevant reasons involving employment, tourism, and business. The remote-work example and the discussion of travel videos help illustrate how international interaction can create opportunities. This addresses the task, but the discussion is not equally developed across its parts. The essay focuses mainly on economic benefits and gives little explanation of cultural exchange, despite mentioning exposure to different cultures in the conclusion. The opening also refers to technology without clearly discussing the wider forms of globalisation in the prompt. To strengthen the response, explain how at least one example benefits people or societies beyond earning income, and develop the cultural or international-trade aspect rather than listing it briefly.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.5
The response has a clear overall structure: an introduction states your view, two body paragraphs present related benefits, and a conclusion restates your position. Sequencing phrases such as “First,” “Furthermore,” and “In conclusion” make the progression easy to follow, and the examples generally sit in relevant paragraphs. This meets the lower-band expectations and shows some features of stronger organisation. However, links between ideas can feel mechanical, and some references are unclear—for example, “it” in “However, it provide job opportunities” does not have a precise antecedent. The second body paragraph also moves quickly from tourism to vlogging and then to e-commerce. Use clearer topic sentences and transitions that explain how each example supports the paragraph’s main point.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
You use a range of topic-related vocabulary, including “remote job,” “tourism,” “digital marketing,” “e-commerce,” and “global opportunities,” so the main ideas are generally understandable. There are also attempts at more specific phrasing, such as “the landscape of world” and “give exposure,” but several choices are inaccurate or unnatural and reduce precision. Examples include “globalisation world,” “US pledged package,” “digitalization apps,” and “tourim”; “promote” is also repeated frequently. These issues place the vocabulary control below a consistently adequate level, although they do not prevent the reader from following the argument. Focus on accurate collocations and spelling, and vary repeated verbs with context-appropriate alternatives.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5
You attempt both simple and more extended sentence forms, including clauses introduced by “which” and “that,” and the overall meaning is usually recoverable. However, errors in verb forms, agreement, articles, and sentence construction occur across the response. For example, “it also promote” and “globalisation … create” need subject–verb agreement, while “we can easily made our bookings” mixes a modal with the wrong verb form. “In IT sector” also needs an article, and “Many people earned good amount of money from it” has an article omission. These errors sometimes make sentences less smooth, even though they rarely obscure the main point. Practise checking each sentence’s subject and verb, and use a wider range of accurate complex structures.
