the diagram shows how a mechanical arm works it also shows how the arm joints move like a human arm overall the robot arm has s computer and three motors to control it the arm looks like a human arm from the shoulder to the wrist also people can change the tools at the end for different jobs. first there is a base at the bott'.om and it usually does not move the shoulder joint can move the arm up and down next to it a pivot helps the arm ro,tate in the middle the elbow joint the arm to bend at the end the wrist joint can turn and move like a human wrist a computer controls three motors to move the parts usually the arm has a gripper to hold things this gripper has sensors to control the force for other work in a factory you can change the gripper to other tools for example the tools can spray paint drill holes or weld metal
