IELTS Writing Task 1 question

The diagram below shows how a mechanical arm works, and how the joints that make up the arm function in the same way as those in a human arm. Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.

Student answer (Band 6.0)

the diagram shows how a mechanical arm works and functions like as human arm. it has three motors, first one is from the top of the base which is attached to shoulder and also pivot connects to to enables arm to rotate, next is connected to elbow part that allows movement or gives flexibility and wrist is connected to it that allows the gripper(connects on the top of the wrist) to flex or rotate. Last motors is connected between the gripper and wrist and has a built in sensors control force.

Like the human arm and the mechanical arm has the same parts like elbow, wrist and gripper as equal to human fingers. The only thing is that mechanical arm works only by operating the computers by the motors connected to it. Though the have almost the same functions but in reality human hand is more useful and accurate than the machines, machines can't operate without the presence of human.
