IELTS Writing Task 1 question

The diagram below shows how a mechanical arm works, and how the joints that make up the arm function in the same way as those in a human arm. Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.

Student answer (Band 6.0)

The given process charts is of mechanical arm and illustrates how its works and how joints help that make up the arm junction like a human arm.

Firstly, there are the three motors which are commanded and controlled by computer. The first motor was installed in the base beside the shoulder, it help to lists lower arm in the artificial hand. Secondly next motor was installed in the elbow it is responsible for the movement and flexibility of the hand. with along wrist is attached to it and lastly final motor was placed and installed in wrist it allows hand to make grip on any objects. There are three alternative end effectors which can effect it like spray paint, drill holed and weld metal. and finally the after the assembling mechanical arm works like a human arm. Those three motors was essential and responsible for making the arm work like human arm
