The diagram below shows how a mechanical arm works, and how the joints that make up the arm function in the same way as those in a human arm. Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.

The diagram below illustrates the function of mechanical arm and joints make up the arm function like a human arm.First of all there is base which is usually stationary but occasionally movable.Above it,there is pivot that enables arm to rotate.With pivot a shoulder is attached which raises or lowers the arm.This shoulder moves with the help of motor.At it's end,it is attached with elbow which gives it flexibility and allows movement.This also works with the help of motor.A wrist-allow gripper is attached at it's end which allows to flex or rotate.A gripper is also builtin sensor to control force.This gripper also work with the help of motor.The first and third motors are attached with each other while second motor is attached with computer.It is actually attached with computer for precision control of motor.This helps as alternative end-effectors like spray paint,drill holes and for welding of metals. This is how a mechanical arm works.
