Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 4.0

The response fails to meet the minimum word count requirement of 150 words, reaching only 70 words. Consequently, the task is only partially addressed. The summary is extremely brief and lacks the necessary detail to describe the mechanical arm's function or the comparison to human joints. Key features of the diagram, such as the specific interaction between the motors and the joints, are omitted or described in a very simplistic manner. To improve, you must provide a more comprehensive overview and ensure all parts of the visual information are described and compared as requested in the prompt.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.0

The response is too short to demonstrate effective paragraphing or a logical progression of ideas. While there is a basic attempt at an introduction and a body section, the lack of development makes it difficult to assess cohesion. The use of cohesive devices is very limited; for example, 'To Embark on' is an unnatural way to begin a paragraph. The overall structure is fragmented, and the relationship between the mechanical components is not clearly linked, which hinders the flow of information.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.0

The vocabulary is basic and repetitive, which limits the ability to describe the technical process accurately. Phrases like 'man-made process' and 'dill hole' (likely a misspelling of drill hole) are imprecise. There is no attempt to use technical or academic vocabulary related to mechanical engineering or anatomy, which is expected for this task type. To reach a higher band, you should incorporate more precise terminology related to the diagram, such as 'articulated', 'components', 'actuators', or 'simulates'.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0

The response contains several grammatical errors that affect clarity. Examples include 'The main equipment are used computer, motor and dill hole' (incorrect sentence structure) and 'The first motor is allowed movement to the mechanical arm' (incorrect passive voice usage). The range of structures is very limited, consisting mostly of simple sentences. There is a lack of complex sentence structures, and the errors in basic subject-verb agreement and preposition usage are frequent enough to cause some difficulty for the reader.
