IELTS Writing Task 1 question

The diagram below shows how a mechanical arm works, and how the joints that make up the arm function in the same way as those in a human arm. Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.

Student answer (Band 5.0)

The illustration gives information about the comparison between human and machine functions. Overall, there are a total of three motors that control the whole machine at three different locations middle, upper and bottom, but the the uper side

It is quite evident from the diagram that computer precision controls motors, there are three different motor computer control systems; the first is located at the bottom of the machine, which controls the shoulder and arm of the machine when they move up and down. Another important function is that the base is movable we can move it according to our comfort.

Furthermore, the second motor of this machine is situated in the middle of this and controls the elbow movement, and allows elbow movement and gives flexibility. And final third motor is located at the gripper of this machine, which controls it using sensors and allows force whenever needed.
