IELTS Writing Task 1 question

The diagram below shows how a mechanical arm works, and how the joints that make up the arm function in the same way as those in a human arm. Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.

Student answer (Band 5.0)

This diagram shows the work flow of a mechanical arm works and how it's joints are working simillarly to a human arm.

Overall, Mechanical arm consists of base, shoulder, pivot, elbow, wrist, and a grip which helps to do same work as a human arm could do.

Moreover, Motors helps the mechanical arm to perform same activities as human joints and gives more movement and flexibility which reduce workload, the base would be usually stationary or occasionally movable, as same as human shoulder it's shoulder also helps to raise or lower the gear and also pivot helps to rotate the arm, simillarly elbow which gives more movement and gives flexibility to the gear in performing a task and also the wrist which is the main component which allows the griper o rotate and perforn flexible tasks and at the end there is a gripper which has built-in sensors that control force when gripping something.

It can help us to reduce our effort in hard working areas such as spraying, drilling, crafting, and other industrial works which needs pricision and hard work.
