Student answer (Band 4.0)

The given diagram compares between work mechanical arms and human arms also demonstrate the process how the arm function work.

Overall, mechanical arm controlled through computer function for it various stages while human arm controlled by the humans.

It is clear that, Computer controlled the mechanical arms to run the arm properly three motor connected with the computer function. First motor controlled the base of the arms usually in stationary section to move the arms ocassionally. Where pivot enabled the arm to rotate also raise and lower the shoulder which allowed the elbow to movement or gives flexibility. Therefore, middle motor controlled the wrist section which allow the arm to gripped or flexible rotation. And the last motor controlled the sensors force.

On the other hand, Human arms also had three stages but the overall process controlled by the humans.First a spray paint need to identify the the place then drills holes worked for drilling after that weld metal used by the hum

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 4.0

The response attempts to describe the mechanical arm diagram, but it suffers from severe misinterpretations of the visual data. For instance, the student states that 'a spray paint need to identify the the place' and confuses the end-effector tools (spray paint, drill, weld) with human actions or separate stages. The overview provided in the second paragraph is confusing and inaccurate. While the main parts such as motors, base, pivot, and shoulder are mentioned, the lack of accurate reporting and misunderstanding of how the components function together places this performance at Band 4.0.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 4.5

The text is divided into four short paragraphs, but the logical progression is frequently broken due to confusing phrasing and abrupt transitions. Cohesive devices are used awkwardly or incorrectly, such as 'Therefore, middle motor controlled...' and 'On the other hand, Human arms also had three stages...'. Referencing between sentences is often unclear, leaving the reader struggling to follow which motor or joint is being described. Paragraphing is attempted, but internal cohesion is weak, resulting in a Band 4.5 performance.

Lexical Resource: Band 4.0

Vocabulary usage is basic, repetitive, and often imprecise. The student relies heavily on words directly copied from the prompt or visual, such as 'mechanical arm', 'computer', 'motor', and 'base'. There are numerous word-form and lexical errors, such as 'work mechanical arms', 'arm function work', and 'sensors force'. Less common lexical items are attempted but used incorrectly, which occasionally strains the reader and impedes comprehension. This corresponds to Band 4.0.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 4.0

The response displays a very limited range of grammatical structures. Simple sentences dominate, and attempts at complex structures are consistently marred by severe grammatical errors, such as 'mechanical arm controlled through computer function for it various stages' and 'Computer controlled the mechanical arms to run the arm properly three motor connected with the computer function.' Errors involving tense, subject-verb agreement, missing prepositions, and run-on sentences are frequent and heavily impede communication, fitting the Band 4.0 descriptor.
