Student answer (Band 4.0)
The given diagram illustrates us thet how a mechanical arm works like a human arms and how the mechanical arm is same as the human arm.
Overall, both the human and a mechanical arm works effectively and make a appropriate gun which can be used for manufecturing the clothes.
Firslty, the computer has three motors and all of them is working for the same process according to the given figure.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 3.0
The response makes a limited attempt to describe the diagram, but it does not provide a clear, accurate summary of the main features. The opening refers to a comparison with human arms, yet the diagram labels the mechanical arm’s joints and functions rather than showing how a human arm works. The overview claim that the arms “make a appropriate gun” for clothing manufacture is unsupported; the diagram instead shows alternative end-effectors for spray painting, drilling and welding. The description also misstates the base as being connected to the first motor. Most of the arm’s key parts and functions are omitted, and the response ends before completing its explanation. It is also 53 words below the required minimum. To improve, report the computer’s motor control, the joints and their functions, and the alternative tools accurately.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 4.0
There is a basic attempt to organise the response: it begins with an introduction, gives an overview, and then starts describing components. However, the ideas do not develop in a clear sequence, and the final sentence stops abruptly after “attached with the base,” leaving the description incomplete. The link between the overview and the details is also unclear: the claim about a gun and clothing manufacture does not lead into the actual diagram information. Connectors such as “Overall” and “Firstly” provide some signposting, but there is no progression through the arm from its base to its end-effector. Use separate paragraphs for an accurate overview and a step-by-step description, with clear links between each component.
Lexical Resource: Band 4.5
The response uses a small set of relevant terms, including “computer,” “motors,” “base” and “shoulder,” so the reader can identify some parts of the diagram. However, the vocabulary is limited and several choices or spellings make the meaning less precise, such as “make a appropriate gun” and “working for the same process.” The spelling errors “thet,” “manufecturing” and “Firslty” also reduce accuracy. More specific diagram vocabulary would help explain the functions and relationships, for example “controls,” “rotates,” “raises,” “flexes” and “gripper.” Check spelling carefully and choose terms that describe what the diagram actually shows rather than introducing unsupported objects or purposes.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 4.5
The response mainly uses simple sentence patterns, with a few attempts to join ideas using “and” and “which.” These attempts are not consistently controlled. For example, “both the human and a mechanical arm works” has a subject–verb agreement problem, while “all of them is working” also uses an incorrect verb form for a plural subject. The opening, “illustrates us thet how,” has an awkward sentence structure, and the final sentence is incomplete. Articles and plurals are also inconsistent in phrases such as “a appropriate gun” and “human arms.” Aim for complete sentences with one clear main idea, and check agreement, articles and sentence endings when describing each part.
