Student answer (Band 6.0)
Nowaday, people are becoming more aware about environment and an increasing number of them are prefering to be eco-tourists travelling in resposible, environmentally-friendly ways. This trend allowed the eco-tourism industry to expand. Which is a positive step into preserving the environment and push the companies to more sustainable products. Although it positive effects, it stills limited because it will lead to higher prices and limited destinations.
One advantage of be an eco-tourists is that the amount of carbon emissions will be reduced. Because, instead of travelling long distances using the usuall cars that emit carbon that is responsible for the climate change, an electrical car will be used with no emissions at all. This will lead to preserve the environment and also the wild life from extinction. Another advantage is this trend will motivate the international comapnies to move forward to making more sustainable and environmentally-friendly products. For example, cars company will focus more on producing electrical cars.
Despite these benefits, it has several drawbacks. Begin with an increase in the prices of trips, because of the expensive equipement and electrical cars. In contrast, less people will be able to travel and this will lead to less incomes to national and internationl parks, where their main funds comming from tourists. Another disadvantage is that most toustic destination are in harsh natural condition with no power station such as sahara desert, this will limit people with fewer destinations.
In conclusion, travelling in responsible, environmentally-friendly ways will protect the environment and speed up the process of moving into more sustainable life. But it will also limite the tourist destinations and increase the prices.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.5
Your position is clear: you see eco-tourism as positive overall because it can reduce emissions and encourage companies to make sustainable products, while acknowledging higher costs and fewer destinations. These points address both the benefits and drawbacks of the trend. The examples about electric cars and parks help make the discussion relevant, and the conclusion restates your balanced view. However, some ideas need fuller explanation to make the argument more convincing. For instance, the link between eco-tourism and reduced emissions is illustrated mainly through car use, without considering other forms of travel or how eco-tourism practices reduce emissions more broadly. The point about parks losing income is also introduced but not fully connected to the effect of higher prices. Develop these implications more clearly and support them with specific examples.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.5
The response has a coherent overall structure: an introduction presents your view, separate body paragraphs discuss benefits and drawbacks, and the conclusion summarises both sides. Signposting such as “One advantage,” “Despite these benefits,” and “In conclusion” helps readers follow the main progression. Some connections, however, are mechanical or unclear. The opening fragment “Which is a positive step” does not connect grammatically to the preceding sentence, and “In contrast” does not clearly express the relationship between higher prices and fewer travellers. The paragraph about drawbacks also moves quickly from costs to park income and then destination limitations. Use more precise links between cause and consequence, and develop each paragraph around a clearer sequence of explanation and example.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
You use relevant vocabulary for the topic, including “carbon emissions,” “sustainable,” “environmentally-friendly,” and “destinations,” and these choices make your main ideas understandable. There are also attempts to use more specific terms, such as “national and international parks.” However, the range and control are uneven, with repeated general wording such as “advantage,” “disadvantage,” and “environment,” and several inaccurate or misspelled forms that reduce precision: “resposible,” “equipement,” “comapnies,” and “tourstic.” Some collocations are also unnatural, including “sustainable products” in this context and “less incomes.” Build a wider set of accurate topic phrases and check spelling and word partnerships carefully; this will make your argument sound more precise and fluent.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5
You attempt both simple and more complex sentence forms, including a contrast clause beginning “Although” and a reason clause introduced by “because.” The overall meaning is usually recoverable, but errors in sentence construction and verb forms occur across the response. For example, “Which is a positive step” is a fragment, “Although it positive effects” is missing a verb, and “One advantage of be an eco-tourists” has an incorrect verb pattern and number agreement. There are also problems with articles and plurals, as in “an electrical car” and “most toustic destination.” Punctuation sometimes separates clauses incorrectly, as in “Because, instead of travelling…” Practise complete sentence structures and check subject–verb agreement, articles, and clause punctuation when editing.
