Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0
Your position is clear: you agree that the growth of eco-tourism is positive, and you give relevant reasons, including reduced crowding, less pollution and protection of natural habitats. The Northern Pakistan example also helps show how a visitor limit can improve a destination. However, some points are asserted rather than explained. For instance, the claim that eco-tourism involves “less use of wastes” is unclear, and the references to Thailand, Dubai and the Maldives are not supported with specific measures or outcomes. The response addresses the question, but the benefits and the example are developed unevenly. Explain how responsible travel reduces environmental harm, and connect each example directly to your argument.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5
The response has a recognisable structure, moving from an introduction to reasons, a personal example and a conclusion. Paragraphing generally separates these stages, and connectors such as “Moreover,” “As” and “To conclude” signal relationships between ideas. However, progression within paragraphs is sometimes difficult to follow: the discussion shifts from crowding to pollution and then to the Pakistan visit without a clear link between each point. Some transitions are mechanical or unclear, and references such as “It” and “the place” do not always identify their subject precisely. Use topic sentences to establish each paragraph’s main point, then order supporting explanation and examples clearly. More precise linking would make the argument easier to follow.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use relevant topic vocabulary, including “eco-tourism,” “natural habitats,” “pollution” and “air quality,” and these terms help communicate your main ideas. However, the range is limited and several word choices or collocations are inaccurate or unclear, such as “less use of wastes,” “tourist limit policy” and “the assessment.” Spelling errors—including “environment,” “beautiful,” “pandemic” and “quality”—are noticeable and sometimes make the reader pause. Repetition of “beautiful” and “environment” also limits variety. Build a more precise set of phrases for describing conservation and visitor management, and check spelling and word forms carefully. This will make your meaning clearer and your vocabulary more suitable for an academic argument.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple statements and longer sentences, for example, “It helps environment in every way possible” and the sentence beginning “As crowd is gathered in a same place.” However, control is inconsistent, and errors in sentence boundaries, articles, agreement and verb forms sometimes make the meaning harder to follow. Examples include “Global warming is real.In the new era,” “a same place,” “tourist countries … has,” and “In 2013 i visit.” Several sentences also join ideas with commas where a full stop or a clearer clause structure is needed. Practise accurate simple sentences first, then add subordinate clauses and examples. Check articles, subject–verb agreement, tense consistency and punctuation when editing.
