Student answer (Band 5.5)

Nowadays prople are becoming more concerning about the environment as a result many individuals prefer eco-tourism. I strongly believe that the growth of this industry is a positive development because it helps to protect nature and supports local community.

They protect environment from pollution and different other kinds of harmfull elements. So, from my prespective it is a positve trend because the people are becoming more aware regarding this topic. From my point of view eco-tourists play a significant role in protecting the environment through taking care of the habitats and animals. Eco-tourism can protect the natural places and wildlife. eco-tourists save the earth from the unnecessary waste, dirt and pollution As a result, the eco-tourism industry is expanding. It can provide the employment to the local and needy people.

If I talk about the advantages so I strongly agree with this development because the main thing is that eco-tourism industry is the positive trend beacuase it helps and supports individuals to get job opportunities especially for local community. It decreases unemployment issues. But also the growth of eco-tourism causes the disturbance of wildlife and natural habitats and waste can rapidly increase in some natural places and it can damage these places. So if there are several advantages of eco-tourism, there are also disadvantages that we should look after.

overall, eco-tourism is a positive development that makes people more aware of protecting the environment and natural resources during visiting different natural and beautiful places. But increasing in eco-tourism can also effect the environment that we can't even imagine. So, I suggest that people should go outside for visiting places but just one time in a year.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5

Your position is clear in the opening and conclusion: you consider eco-tourism positive because it can protect nature and create local jobs. You also acknowledge a relevant drawback, noting that tourism may disturb wildlife and increase waste, so the response addresses both benefits and risks. However, the discussion is only partly developed. Claims such as eco-tourists “save the earth” and eco-tourism “decreases unemployment issues” are broad and would be more convincing with a specific example or explanation of how responsible practices achieve these outcomes. The final suggestion to visit places only once a year is not clearly justified or connected to your argument. Develop fewer points in more detail and make your overall position on the drawbacks more precise.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5

The response has an identifiable opening, body discussion and conclusion, and the reader can follow its general focus on environmental protection, employment and possible harm to wildlife. However, progression between ideas is uneven: environmental benefits are repeated in several sentences, while the employment point appears abruptly. Linking phrases such as “So,” “As a result,” and “But also” are sometimes mechanical or do not show the relationship between claims clearly. The paragraph beginning “If I talk about the advantages” combines a benefit, a counterargument and a conclusion without a clear structure. Organise the body into distinct paragraphs, each with one main point, and use referencing and transitions to show how each idea develops.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You use relevant topic vocabulary, including “eco-tourism,” “wildlife,” “natural habitats,” “pollution” and “employment,” which makes the subject clear. There are also attempts at more formal phrasing, such as “play a significant role.” However, the range is limited and several expressions are repetitive or imprecise, including repeated references to “positive trend” and “protect the environment.” Some word choices and collocations sound unnatural, for example “more concerning about the environment,” “protect the environment from… harmfull elements,” and “the employment to the local.” Spelling errors such as “prespective,” “positve” and “beacuase” are noticeable and can distract the reader. Build a wider set of accurate topic collocations and check spelling carefully.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt both simple statements and longer sentences, including a contrast between advantages and disadvantages. Nevertheless, the range of structures is limited, and errors occur frequently enough to make some sentences difficult to read. For example, “Nowadays prople are becoming more concerning about the environment as a result many individuals prefer eco-tourism” joins two independent clauses without suitable punctuation or a conjunction. There are also problems with articles and sentence construction in “It can provide the employment to the local and needy people,” and the final sentence, “increasing in eco-tourism can also effect the environment,” is not grammatically well formed. Practise accurate complex sentences, especially clauses joined with “because,” “although” and “as a result,” and check articles, agreement and punctuation.
