Student answer (Band 5.5)
The environmental concerns are rapidly growing among people which lead towards environmentally-friendly tourism. More and more people are choosing to travel responsibly and eco-friendly ways. As a result, this type of tourism industry is expanding. I believe it is a positive trend for environment.
There are several benefits of this trend. Firstly, it can cause many positive effects on environment and nature bodies. Eco-tourists prefer to travel in buses instead of their own cars to reduce the air pollution. Because a bus would emit less greenhouse gases as compared to ten cars. For instance , I watch a travel vlogger . He travels across the Pakistan . Despite having many cars he prefer to travel in local buses to conserve the nature.
Secondly, eco-tourism is also an affordable way to travel. There is no need to own a car or vehicle. Eventually, there would be no maintain cost or fuel cost. So you are stressed free and can relax and enjoy marvelous scenes. Eco-tourists like to live in hotels or cottages build by local communities . Therefore, local communities earn more profit . Eco-tourists avoid to through garbage everywhere. So it helps the tourist places to maintain their beauty and scenic views by not contaminating the ecosystems. It is also fun to travel in groups instead of alone and living in basic natural place which produce less waste in nature. Therefore, Eco-tourism is best for nature.
I conclude that the rapidly growing trend of eco-tourism is positive trend for both environment and pocket.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.5
The response addresses the prompt by taking a clear position that eco-tourism is a positive trend. The ideas are relevant, focusing on environmental benefits and economic advantages for local communities. However, the development of these ideas is somewhat limited. For instance, the example of the travel vlogger is a bit anecdotal and lacks depth. While the main points are clear, the essay would benefit from more sophisticated arguments regarding the broader implications of eco-tourism, such as the balance between economic growth and environmental preservation. The conclusion is present but brief.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.5
The essay is organized into logical paragraphs, each with a clear focus. Cohesive devices such as 'Firstly', 'Secondly', and 'Therefore' are used to link ideas, although some transitions feel a bit mechanical. The progression of ideas is generally easy to follow. However, there are instances where the flow is slightly disrupted by awkward phrasing, such as 'Because a bus would emit less greenhouse gases as compared to ten cars', which functions better as a continuation of the previous sentence rather than a standalone sentence starting with 'Because'.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.0
The vocabulary is adequate for the task but lacks variety and precision. There is some repetition of basic terms like 'travel' and 'nature'. While the student attempts to use topic-specific vocabulary such as 'greenhouse gases', 'ecosystems', and 'contaminating', there are several errors in word choice and collocation, such as 'nature bodies' (instead of natural environments), 'maintain cost' (instead of maintenance costs), and 'avoid to through' (instead of avoid throwing). These errors do not impede communication but limit the score.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0
The essay uses a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. However, there are frequent grammatical errors throughout the text. Examples include subject-verb agreement issues ('He travels... he prefer'), incorrect preposition usage, and awkward sentence fragments. Punctuation is also inconsistent, particularly with spacing around commas and periods. While the meaning is generally clear, the frequency of these errors indicates a lack of control over more complex grammatical structures, which prevents the essay from reaching a higher band.
