Student answer (Band 5.0)
As a human-being, we should protect our environment, it's our primary duty. As of my point of view the eco-tourism is not optional, it's necessary for everyone in this world. Now let's see how this trend benefit the human beings as well as for our nature.
In current situation the global condition is getting worst so if we are travelling with responsibility and environmentally-friendly, we can able to control those worse condition. By promoting eco friendly tours to public and by using eco friendly things while going to somewhere, by doing this we can able to maintain a positive trend among the people. Whatever thing we do, we must prove that will work on to the extend in a positive way then others may find a way to follow that trend.
But while making any kind of trends or patterns, make sure all types of people could benefit with that trend otherwise it's useless. More over it brings out different kinds of opinions among the people, then only it will be considered as one of the global trend. It should be in profitable, marketable, communicable, and so on..
Our goal is only to promote eco-friendly tourism and make profit of it but it should be a proper investment throughout the year. In near future, if anyone wants to get into this industry, they should be in clear mind about what they're going to do for the upcoming years. If proper communications are there and proper investments there until then this eco tourism trend will be keep on expanding and it'll keep on succeeding.
In my opinion, I could say this eco-tourism trend is one of the essential trend that could be possibly should be enlarge in our environment. As long as people have faith in it, it will be popular around.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.0
The response addresses the prompt by discussing the positive nature of eco-tourism; however, the development of ideas is limited. While you state that eco-tourism is necessary, the arguments provided—such as 'maintaining a positive trend' or 'making profit'—are repetitive and lack specific, concrete examples to support your position. The essay focuses more on the business/marketing aspect of eco-tourism rather than the environmental impact or the 'extent' to which it is positive. To improve, you should provide clear, distinct reasons (e.g., conservation of biodiversity, economic support for local communities) and illustrate them with real-world examples to demonstrate a deeper engagement with the topic.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.0
The essay is organized into paragraphs, which helps the reader follow the structure. However, the logical progression of ideas is often hindered by repetitive phrasing and a lack of clear cohesive devices. Transitions between sentences are sometimes mechanical or missing, making the flow feel disjointed. For instance, the transition 'Whatever thing we do' is informal and does not effectively link the preceding thought to the next. The use of referencing is occasionally unclear, and the concluding paragraph does not effectively summarize the main points, instead introducing vague statements about 'faith' in the industry.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.0
The vocabulary range is limited and often repetitive. You frequently use basic terms like 'thing', 'good', or 'worse condition' (should be 'worsening conditions'). There are also instances of awkward word choices, such as 'enlarge in our environment' and 'be in clear mind'. While the meaning is generally conveyed, the lack of precision and the reliance on simple, repetitive vocabulary prevent the essay from reaching a higher band. To improve, focus on using more precise academic collocations and synonyms to avoid repeating words like 'trend' and 'eco-friendly' throughout the text.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0
The essay contains a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but there are frequent grammatical errors that occasionally impede fluency. Common issues include subject-verb agreement (e.g., 'this trend benefit'), incorrect article usage, and awkward phrasing (e.g., 'we can able to control'). Punctuation is also inconsistent, particularly with comma splices and run-on sentences. While the meaning is usually clear, the frequency of these errors suggests a lack of control over more complex structures. Focusing on basic sentence construction and proofreading for subject-verb agreement would significantly improve the clarity of your writing.
