Student answer (Band 5.5)

In recent years, tourists has become increase prevalent, largely due to increasingly environmental awareness. While this development may give rise to certain concerns, I firmly believe that it is a predominantly positive trend because the environmental protection and the country's economic growth.

The most significant advantage of this trend is that eco-tourism helps protect the environment. The key reason is that eco-tourism helps reduce pollution and minimize environmental damage. The eco- tourists tend to use environmentally friendly transport and follow sustainable practices

Which can help protect natural habitats and wildlife. Furthermore, the eco- tourism can create employment opportunities angenerate te income for local communities. Moreover, it helps often spend money on local accommodation, restaurants, transportation and guided tours. For instance, national parks that attract eco- tourists often use tourism revenue to fund wildlife conservation and maintain natural habitats. This can help protect endangered species and preserveare these areas for future generations. As a result, eco-tourism helps reduce pollution and protect natural habitats, and protect the wildlife which helps to preserve these areas for future generations .

Another important benefit is that e co-tourism can also provide significant economic benefits to local communities. This is because tourists often spend money on local accommodation, restaurants transportation and guided tours. As a result, local businesses can be expand and more employment opportunities can be created for residents. For example, people near national parks can work as your guides and provide accommodation and other services to visitors. Consequently, e co-tourism can generate income for local people and contribute to an inprovement in their living standards.

In conclusion, although I strongly believe that the growth of e co-tourism is a largely positive trend . It not only protect the environment, but also creates employment opportunities and provides economic benefits to local communities. Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.5

The response addresses the prompt and maintains a clear position throughout. The ideas are relevant, focusing on environmental protection and economic benefits. However, the development is somewhat repetitive; for instance, the argument regarding economic benefits is stated in the second paragraph and then repeated in the third paragraph with almost identical examples. To reach a higher band, you should ensure each paragraph introduces a distinct, well-developed point rather than restating the same concept. The conclusion effectively summarizes the position, but the overall development lacks the depth required for a higher score.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0

The essay is organized into logical paragraphs, and there is a clear progression of ideas. Cohesive devices such as 'Furthermore', 'Moreover', and 'In conclusion' are used to link sentences and paragraphs. However, there are instances where the flow is slightly mechanical, and some sentences are repetitive, such as the final sentence of the second paragraph which restates points already made. Referencing is generally clear, but the repetition of ideas within the body paragraphs slightly hinders the overall coherence of the argument.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.5

You demonstrate an adequate range of vocabulary for the task, using terms like 'sustainable practices', 'endangered species', and 'living standards'. However, there are several errors in word formation and spelling, such as 'tourists has become increase prevalent' (increasingly prevalent) and 'angenerate te income' (and generate). Some phrasing is also slightly awkward, such as 'the eco-tourism industry is expanding'. While the vocabulary is sufficient to convey your meaning, the recurring errors and lack of more sophisticated, precise collocations limit the score.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5

The essay uses a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. However, there are frequent grammatical errors that occasionally distract the reader, such as 'tourists has become' (subject-verb agreement), 'the environmental protection and the country's economic growth' (missing verb), and 'if the tourism is managed responsebly' (spelling and article usage). While these errors do not impede communication, they are frequent enough to prevent a higher band. You should focus on proofreading for basic subject-verb agreement and article usage to improve your accuracy.
