Student answer (Band 6.0)

It is beyond dispute that people are more aware about environmental depletion, and they have been choosing eco friendly ways to travel. Also tourists are accountable towards saving nature. As a result these attracted substantial attention in recent years. I am personally believe that it is advantageous standpoint.

In my conviction, there are several compelling reasons that substantiate my opinion.

The foremost justification is nature is essential for nurture life on Earth, also the indispensable surrounding conditions makes this planet to live able. Furthermore, another argument that

can be advanced in support of this stance is education and awareness about negative impacts of pollution to our surrounding. To illustrate, our oceans are filled with plastic bottles and polythene bags, these waste openly disposed by tourist and travellers on land. after rain all these biodegradable solids reach to our rivers and seas. Which vividly demonstrates the validity of this perspective.

In addition to the above, I am more persuaded by this view because tourist are nowadays prefer electric and low carbon emissions transports. By doing this they reduce carbon footprint, which also reduce carbon gases in the atmosphere.

Equally important is the fact that tourism industries are using these above reasons to promote their business and tourist packages. They convince individuals by using their sustainable eco friendly electric buses and bullet trains. Hence, they thought by using these sustainable traveling they are impacting less their surrounding and saving the environment as well.

Conclusion + Suggestion:

To recapitulate, it can be asserted that people concerned about the environment and they are considering environment sustainability, So they prefer low pollution transportation and showing great civic sense to pollute less their natural resources. Nevertheless, it is imperative that these small efforts would make a massive impact in long run.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0

The response addresses the prompt by discussing the positive trend of eco-tourism. However, the development of ideas is somewhat superficial. While you mention environmental awareness and low-carbon transport, the arguments lack depth and specific, well-explained examples. For instance, the mention of plastic bottles and pollution is relevant, but the connection to how eco-tourism specifically mitigates this is not fully explored. The position is clear, but the supporting points are often repetitive or lack the necessary logical extension required for a higher band. To improve, ensure each paragraph focuses on a single, well-developed idea that directly answers 'to what extent' this is positive.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0

The essay is organized into paragraphs, but the flow between ideas is sometimes mechanical. You use some cohesive devices like 'Furthermore' and 'In addition to the above', but the transitions between sentences within paragraphs can be abrupt. The referencing is occasionally unclear, such as in the sentence 'Which vividly demonstrates the validity of this perspective', which lacks a clear antecedent. Additionally, the inclusion of 'Conclusion + Suggestion:' as a heading is unnecessary and disrupts the formal structure of an essay. Improving the use of linking words and ensuring each paragraph has a clear topic sentence would enhance the overall coherence.

Lexical Resource — Band 6.0

You demonstrate an adequate range of vocabulary for the task, including terms like 'environmental depletion', 'indispensable', and 'carbon footprint'. However, there are several instances of awkward word choice and collocation errors, such as 'nurture life' instead of 'sustain life', 'live able' instead of 'habitable', and 'tourist are nowadays prefer' which is grammatically incorrect. Some phrasing is repetitive, and the vocabulary lacks the precision and sophistication needed for a higher band. Focusing on learning collocations and ensuring words are used in their correct grammatical form will help you achieve a higher score.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5

The essay contains a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but there are frequent grammatical errors that occasionally impede clarity. Common issues include subject-verb agreement ('tourist are nowadays prefer'), incorrect verb forms ('these waste openly disposed'), and punctuation errors. The sentence 'I am personally believe that it is advantageous standpoint' contains multiple errors. While you attempt complex structures, the control over them is inconsistent. To improve, focus on mastering basic sentence construction and proofreading for common errors like missing articles, incorrect verb tenses, and subject-verb agreement before attempting more complex grammatical forms.
