Student answer (Band 6.0)
In recent years, significant development has been observed in the awareness among among for environmental issues. They are choosing to travel and sustain in a responsible and environment friendly manner due to which there is a boost in eco-tourism industries.
Deteriorating environment and climate changes has concerned people for the future of next generations. Global warming and extinction of several rare species are few of the many effects. However, people are getting aware of the situation and taking steps in order to reduce environmental pollution and slow down the bad impacts. Tourism is one of the sources involved with eco-friendly tourism being an upcoming trend. For example, camping or trekking in areas by staying in tents and only using solar energy for power generation instead of accomodating in hotels built on hills by deforestation.
It also helps to conserve the wildlife and forests region without invading and creating disturbances. Subsequently creating jobs or earning opportunities for the locals and preventing them from cutting down the trees for their livelihood. Certain national parks and wildlife sanctuaries such as Sundarban National Park, use tourist fees to maintain and protect the wild species such as White Bengal Tigers from getting extinct.
However, it is creating a positive effect on the eco-tourism industry. Next to being beneficial for the environment and long term effects, it is widely expanding the environment friendly tourists businesses along with its increasing demand.
Hence, it is definitely a positive trend for the environmental and economical aspects of the region and should be supported by everyone including government bodies as it helps people to enjoy and experience the nature to its core without harming the ecosystem.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0
The response addresses the prompt by discussing the positive aspects of eco-tourism. You clearly state your position that it is a positive trend. The ideas are relevant, such as the economic benefits for locals and the conservation of wildlife, exemplified by the Sundarban National Park. However, the development is somewhat uneven; while the environmental benefits are mentioned, the argument could be strengthened by exploring potential drawbacks or nuances to provide a more balanced 'extent' analysis. The conclusion effectively summarizes your stance, though some points in the body paragraphs could be more deeply elaborated to reach a higher band.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0
The essay is logically organized into distinct paragraphs, each focusing on a specific aspect of the topic. You use cohesive devices such as 'However', 'Subsequently', and 'Hence' to link ideas. While the progression is generally clear, some transitions feel slightly mechanical, and the referencing in the fourth paragraph ('Next to being beneficial...') is a bit awkward, which slightly disrupts the flow. Paragraphing is used appropriately to separate the introduction, body points, and conclusion, which helps the reader follow your argument without difficulty.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.5
You demonstrate an adequate range of vocabulary for the task, using terms like 'deteriorating', 'conservation', 'livelihood', and 'ecosystem'. There are some minor errors in word choice and collocation, such as 'sustain in a responsible manner' (should be 'live' or 'travel') and 'bad impacts' (a bit simplistic). You attempt to use less common vocabulary, which is good, but there is room for more precision and natural collocations to elevate the response to a higher band. Spelling is generally accurate throughout the text.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5
You use a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. There are several grammatical slips, such as 'awareness among among for environmental issues' (repetition and incorrect preposition) and 'Deteriorating environment and climate changes has concerned' (subject-verb agreement error). While these errors are noticeable, they do not impede communication. To improve, focus on subject-verb agreement and ensuring that complex sentences are constructed with greater accuracy. Your punctuation is generally functional, though some sentence structures could be refined for better clarity.
