Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.5

The response addresses the prompt by discussing the positive aspects of eco-tourism. You clearly state your position that it is a positive trend. However, the development of ideas is somewhat repetitive. For instance, the argument that tourism boosts the economy is mentioned in both the second and third paragraphs without significant expansion. To reach a higher band, ensure each paragraph introduces a distinct, well-supported point. While you mention Nepal as an example, the connection between 'sanitation campaigns' and the broader economic or environmental impact could be more explicitly linked to the 'eco-tourist' concept to fully satisfy the task requirements.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.5

The essay is organized into logical paragraphs, each with a clear focus. You use cohesive devices such as 'consequently,' 'moreover,' and 'in addition' to link ideas. However, some of these transitions feel mechanical or are used slightly inaccurately, such as 'consequently' at the start of the first paragraph, which does not logically follow the previous sentence. Additionally, referencing is sometimes unclear, such as 'that place' in the third paragraph, which lacks a specific antecedent. Improving the flow between sentences would help the essay move more smoothly.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.5

You demonstrate an adequate range of vocabulary for the task, using terms like 'eco-tourism,' 'sanitation,' and 'collaborating.' However, there are frequent errors in word choice and collocation, such as 'waste user' instead of 'tourist' or 'litterer,' and 'the increment in the the field' which is redundant. Some phrasing is awkward, such as 'too much concerned about the service to the quest.' To improve, focus on using collocations correctly and avoiding repetitive phrasing. Expanding your vocabulary to include more precise academic synonyms would also be beneficial.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5

The essay contains a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but there are frequent grammatical errors that occasionally impede clarity. Common issues include subject-verb agreement ('research have shown'), article usage ('the tourism industry' vs 'tourism industry'), and awkward sentence construction ('as they are chose to travel with responsible'). While the meaning is generally understandable, these persistent errors in basic grammar and sentence structure prevent the essay from reaching a higher band. Focusing on proofreading for subject-verb agreement and correct preposition usage will significantly improve your accuracy.
