Student answer (Band 6.0)
In this developing world, where technology has progressed a lot, people are more concerned about their environment. Nowadays, everyone is aware of the benefits of going to natural places and making healthy choices. More people are now prefer to travel in a responsible manner and due to this, eco-tourism industry is expanding day by day. I believe it is a positive trend because it prevents our environment from further damage and also beneficial for country's economy.
One of the main advantages is that our enivronment becomes more safe and pure because no harmful gases are released into the atmosphere and less chance of breathing issues. For example, if a person uses an electronic car which runs by a battery so there are less chances of environmental pollution and diseases. Consequently, hospital visits will reduce and atmospheric layers are also less effected.
The second benefit is that it will increase country's economy by visiting to places which are designed particularly for the tourists. It allows them to see natural sceneres and views which are far away from their home, so it needs them to stay at that particular place to fully explore it. This can be achieved by taking hotel room in a specific natural area that ultimately provide profit to eco-tourism industry.
To conclude, with the growth of environment our people are also becoming more aware of things which provide benefit to our society and country. They are using ways which protect our ecosystem and help economy to grow. Therefore, I strongly agree that it is a positive trend.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0
The response addresses the prompt by taking a clear position that eco-tourism is a positive trend. The ideas are relevant, focusing on environmental protection and economic benefits. However, the development is somewhat superficial. For instance, the argument regarding the economy is vague, mentioning 'visiting places' and 'hotel rooms' without explaining the broader economic impact or the specific nature of eco-tourism. The environmental argument relies on the example of electric cars, which is only tangentially related to the concept of eco-tourism itself. To reach a higher band, you should provide more specific, well-developed examples that directly link the growth of eco-tourism to the positive outcomes mentioned.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.5
The essay is organized into clear paragraphs, each with a central theme. There is a logical progression from the introduction to the body paragraphs and the conclusion. Cohesive devices are used, such as 'consequently', 'for example', and 'to conclude', which help guide the reader. However, some transitions are slightly mechanical or repetitive, and the referencing is occasionally imprecise, such as in the sentence 'it needs them to stay at that particular place', where the pronoun 'it' lacks a clear antecedent. Overall, the paragraphing is appropriate, and the flow of ideas is generally easy to follow.
Lexical Resource — Band 6.0
The vocabulary is generally adequate for the task, allowing you to express your ideas clearly. You use some topic-specific terms like 'eco-tourism', 'ecosystem', and 'atmospheric layers'. However, there are some inaccuracies in word choice and collocation, such as 'enivronment becomes more safe and pure' (should be 'safer and cleaner') and 'atmospheric layers are also less effected' (should be 'affected'). There is also some repetition of basic words like 'place' and 'thing'. To improve, try to incorporate more precise academic vocabulary and ensure that collocations are natural.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 6.0
You demonstrate a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. While the meaning is generally clear, there are frequent grammatical errors, such as 'More people are now prefer' (should be 'prefer'), 'eco-tourism industry is expanding' (missing article 'the'), and 'country's economy' (missing article 'a' or 'the'). Additionally, there are issues with subject-verb agreement and preposition usage, such as 'taking hotel room' (should be 'booking a hotel room'). While these errors do not impede communication, they occur frequently enough to prevent a higher score. Focusing on article usage and verb forms would significantly improve your accuracy.
